The system has clearly gone mad! It's time this ridiculous nonsense was stopped. I agree with mentioning nuts for people who have nut alergies, but milk for goodness sake!

Only in western society can someone be "allergic" to milk! I garuntee you that in famine struck, sub saharan Africa, there isn't one person allergic to milk, no one down there lucky enough to have milk to drink is complaining of lactose intolerance!!

Whatever happened to plain old milk in the pint bottle?
I noticed the other day no fewer than 25+ different types of milk on sale, it ridiculous. Pasteurised/non-full homoginised, Lowfat, Non fat, skim, 2% etc etc. It's mindboggling, was a warning here recently about permiate in milk or colour 241 or something, it's basically added to milk some say for added shelf life and gives it a watered down appearance. Stop tampering with what nature gives us.

how udderly ridiculous reminded me - although nothing related to this really we had a pup a few yrs ago - I'd been buying the cartons of puppy milk for him.... then the girl in the pet shop told me I should start giving him 'Human milk' now I knew what she meant but couldn't resist asking if I was now expectd to breastfeed this fussy little damned pup Humans - the only species that is routinely artificially fed by another mammal's milk

Why do we have to pander to Health and Safety idiocy? Why the fuss? The article makes it clear Asda are discontinuing the policy and suggests that it was less to do with Health and Safety and more to do with Asda's fear of being sued.

The almost idiot proofing of labels has nothing to do with warnings. It is to try and avoid frivolous court cases. Even if the case gets nowhere and is thrown out, it has cost the company thousands in legal fees. It has got to the point where labels are stating " Only for use for the purpose sold". This is to stop people after a fast buck doing something stupid and then suing as they were not told, not to do it. www.mlaw.org/wwl/

Most of the H&E people I've met are a bunch of jobsworths reveling in their power.
They can close an entire site and they know it.

I used to work as a diver on the oil rigs........The equipment I wore carried a sticker saying "Guaranteed for Life". Now, excuse me for worrying, but WHOSE LIFE ? If I died as a result of equipment failure, would the manufacturers claim that the equipment had lasted the length of MY life therefore the guarantee had been fulfilled ?

And here I always thought milk was something entirely different. Who can I sue over this?
