Ross Kemp has revealed that he "likes the company of soldiers".

The actor, whose documentary series Ross Kemp: Return To Afghanistan begins on Sky1 this Sunday, said that he enjoys the camaraderie of living with other men in war zones.

"This is going to sound really weird but I like the company of soldiers," he commented. "I get on with them maybe better than some people coming in from a different angle. We spend more time with the guys so they learn to trust us."

Explaining how he assembled his latest documentary series, Kemp said: "We live with the guys long enough to get the footage. We weren't there with a prior agenda. We take a camera out, listen to what the people have to say and shoot it. And we've already been in contact.

"You never get used to being shot at or being in that danger but you panic less the more and more it happens."

He is an excellent presenter of these programmes, he gets in as deep as he can, and sometimes u really can hear the terror in his voice, he genuinely respects the soldiers he is filming with.

Of course im not biased as i think he is a gorgeous man! ! lol

So Ross likes the company of soldiers..? How do they feel about him I wonder..? Plus he knows that if it gets too much - or if he's got another appointment he can pack up and go home. I'm sure the army could find someone just as entertaining and twice as good looking in the ranks who could do the 'job' Ross Kemp is being paid to do.. Personally I'd rather see Louis Theroux out there..
