A return of the MSN style Next / Previous thread buttons would be nice...its tedious going back to the main menu every time you want to read/post on another thread.

Foxy has already tried to promote this site to draw in some more fresh members, but was turned down after they viewed it. They deemed it unsuitable to promote due to the bad language in here.
It's real easy to modify the language, but very hard for Foxy to find more members - which we do need. We are trying to get onto a major search engine, but they too will vet the site beforehand.
I guess it's a choice, stick to your swearing and have same old members, or tone it off a bit and have a chance of getting some fresh blood, and maybe fresh ideas. I know which I prefer, and it 'aint the cussing!

All we have to do is just to tone things down a bit. We all know the dodgey words!

'We' did ... (well - 21 of us) LINK21 out of over 200 ? Looks like it was a dodgy worded choice. We could have kept the stars ( every forum has a ranking thing) and binned the descriptions. I sense tediousness creeping in. A new member is suggesting banning folk for say fcuk, who the fcuk is he? Ban swearing and there will be empty spaces abouts.

On swearing.. This is the last place kids of a non swearable age would want to visit as the would be bored shitless with the adult subjects and would be looking to discuss subjects such as telly tubbies etc, the PC brigade are realy trying to destroy the freedom of speach and bore us all to death with nicy nicyness. Why be so dull. Swear adjectives are a way of getting the point across and can be quite funny in context,, all top comedians use swear,, except for ken dodd and if you find him funny you are in serious need of head surgery.

If a person needs to swear then they have really nothing worthwhile to say. Take action against the offenders. Check my posts since joining. I am a fairly prolific poster of new threads, some of which have many replies. I have no need to employ profanities or insult other members. We need some new and varied blood. If we do not have some, I'm afraid we may lose members.I find 'slanging matches' between members extremely boring and wish they would desist. Many moons ago, I was banned. I tholed my assizes, learned a lesson and was reinstated. I lost nothing through the experience but actually gained.

It's all relative though. What was considered shocking lanquage in my grandfather's era is nothing today. So why do we have to be stuck in the language standards of whatever the old farts feel comfortable with? I have 18 year old girls who work for me who call me C*nt, but in the nicest possible way, friendly-like, you know, with a grin. Shocking at first, but then, why not?

jonren.... This is a discussion forum hence you will get slanging matches as not every one is a plastic non profainer and may have a stimulated enthusiazm for discussion rather than just saying oh yes mmh mmhh oh yes well said ewld chap absolyutely smashing I say wot,,etc. The reason I have chosen this sight is because so far it has not been as boring as the others. Why dont we have the option of an adult forum where we can speak with the freedom we enjoy in day to day life. If we had a seperate freedom of speach forum then people could choose weither they wanted to enter said freedom forum or go to the plastic ones.

If a person needs to swear then they have really nothing worthwhile to say. This is an argument that is full of fail. It's a bit like saying that if I use the word "cat" it's because I am too stupid to describe it as a small domestic feline. Sometimes "bollox" or whatever is simply more to the point and more appropriate.

It's all very well. The sad thing is that we don't make the rules. Those who provide the space for this board do. And they say no swearing or the board can't be promoted. We have the choice to either use a civil language or be ostracized.
Personally, I would prefer a board that can expect new members. But that's just me of course.
