I'm starting to be reminded of Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan Kenobi in Revenge Of The Sith. Scrapping it out with Anakin before he became Darth Vader he cried that Anakin was the Chosen One who was supposed to bring balance to The Force. Poor broken-hearted Obi Wan.
Wonder how many drippy liberals are looking at Obama and feeling the same way. You boys and girls and transgendered were screwed. Ha ha!

Anyone who was expected a completely woolly pathetic peacenik had obviously spent too much time listening to the deranged anti-Democrat paranoia pouring out of Fox news and the right wing blogs, and hadn't actually read Obama's words or worked out that he was putting that psycho bittch in charge of the department of state.
What is nice is that he's changed from being nasty for dogmatic reasons to, now, being nasty where it's generally pragmatic and doesn't really piss off too many people.

Clinton was a competent president who got screwed by a mixture of Newt Gingrich's congress, Hillary's interfering on healthcare and the fact that his love of young tail gave the right-wing media a hook to grap on to, to try and cripple him.

Pragmatism always pisses of idealists...left or right. Deciding that you need to go for what is the thing most likely to get the result you want in the conditions that currently prevail, rather than some wooly ideal that ignores the facts, rarely fits with dogmas.
Of course it's possible to be a pragmatist with ideals, but ideals that ignore realities are going to be very hard,if not impossible, to achieve.
