...to consider yourself rich/loaded/set for life/whatever?
Just curious.
At first I was thinking whatever capital I'd need to live off the interest. But then, there is the possibility of devalued currency and varying interest rates....
So, how much do you think you'd need, to feel financially safe for the rest of your life? And what proportion would you like to have in currency, and what in assets?

don't worry about it is my advice, money ebbs and flows throughout your life...who cares as long as you & yours are healthy, there's worse things than not being so-called "financially secure"
look at McCartney.... didn't help Linda did it
(and he's a fugly little bad attitude tw@t too)

depends on what you consider you want or need to be set for the life you want to lead and money does allow you the choice. The best choice however would be the ability to make money and the ability to keep it under your controll. Making it is remarkably easy, hanging on to it is the hard bit.

Dunno exactly . Not much , seeing as I have most of what I want already. Which also isn't much . I wouldnt want assets though . I have a thang about them-assets always seem to be something that tie you down to a certain spot. Just as well I dont want any really seeing as I have no intention of working me arse off to aquire them

Enough to be able to do as Iwish without thinking twice about cost. I don't know how much that would be but I'd say close to six figures?
All in currency, I'd like an additional wealth fund in assets...

Whoops I thought how much to earn annually, not a one of wealth pot. Not sure, maybe £10m? In a combination of currency and assests

Enough so I still have to think about not being silly with it, but would be able to live more or less as I chose.
Sufficient unto the day.
