- - - -something much more serious. "Shadow Chancellor George Osborne said: “The PM must personally and urgently clarify whether his statement that the world is in depression was a slip of the tongue, or whether he knows something that we don’t know.” He added: “For the sake of confidence he should clear up this confusion. “Prime Ministers in particular need to be very careful about their use of language to ensure they don’t undermine confidence.” www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/

.” He added: “For the sake of confidence he should clear up this confusion. “Prime Ministers in particular need to be very careful about their use of language to ensure they don’t undermine confidence.” He and his cronies are suddenly concerned about market confidence!!!! After spending the last 12 years trying to destroy it. The hypocricy of these Notting Hill Tories is as breathtaking as it is unlimited.

What we need right now is confidence. Whether Brown can engender that I don't know. People are scared to spend money in case they lose their jobs, but if the economy grinds to a halt then they are more likely to lost their jobs. We are in a world -wide recession, but in the UK, Labour have not helped our position. Too much mad spending and avarice when the bubble was at its biggest and now we all feel guilty? The people in jobs are struggling, it's true, but there are those who tax them too harshly in my opinion.

My point is that if you save all your money then that may not be enough if you hit hard times. If we keep the economy going it suits us all in the end. We must hang together etc
