Bloody hell that's a big snake. That'd be about the size of the snake in that film Anaconda.

The discovery of fossilised remains belonging to the world's largest snake has been reported in Nature journal.

Titanoboa was 13m (42ft) long - about the length of a bus - and lived in the rainforest of north-east Colombia 58-60 million years ago.

The snake was so wide it would have reached up to a person's hips, say researchers, who have estimated that it weighed more than a tonne.

yeah they make such a big deal about it. then at the end of the article i read went on to say. this snake was 13 mtrs, the largets found before this snake was 12 mtrs or summat and todays largets snake is 9 mtrs. That means this so called monstrous dinosaur snake was only 4 mtrs longer than our biggest alive today. THATS SH!T!!! if you gonna impress me with a monstrous snake youre talking like 20 mtrs. God i feel so let down.
