here they are in full GUIDELINESNEWS GENERAL is all about debate and having your say. But like any other group, it needs basic rules which protect its members' rights to take part without being subjected to behaviour which they may find offensive. Members are expected to adopt a common sense approach to questions of racism, sexism and tolerance of other people and their views. If you disagree with someone's point of view you are free to say so, but must not resort to offensive language or personal attacks which contribute nothing to debate. While the term 'offensive language' is not always easy to define, the managers of this group reserve the right to use their discretion to ensure it remains a comfortable environment for all of its members. Don't post anything that most parents would consider offensive for even their youngest children to see. Members should note NEWS GENERAL does not carry an adult content warning. This means minors can and do access threads posted on the board, so adult attachments and links to sites of an adult or sexual nature should not be posted. Posting guidelines:- Cite your sources properly and avoid posting long quotes.
- Don't poke fun at grammar and spelling - English may not be a member's first language, or they may be dyslexic.
- Scan the messageboards to see if the subject you wish to raise is already being discussed. Duplicate posts may be removed.
- Out of consideration to those with epilepsy, flashing avatars and signatures are not allowed.
- Please limit the size of your signature to height of 250 and width of 500 - reason it stretches the screen for people using screen resolution of 800x600
The managers of this group reserve the right to take action against those who breach its simple rules. You agreed to abide by ProBoard's Code of Conduct and Terms of Service www.proboards.com/tos.html before you joined this group – if you have forgotten what it says please read it again.

I feel I may have been misunderstood because of one or two of my previous (drunken) ramblings and have unjustly been labelled a dirty old man. ('sigh' - you live a life of probity and selfless good works, then you get caught shagging ONE sheep and your reputation is in tatters)

a few additions to the Guidelines will be necessary due to the extra features this site provides
Out of consideration to those with epilepsy, flashing avatars and signatures are not allowed.
Please limit the size of your signature to height of 250 and width of 500 - reason it stretches the screen for people using screen resolution of 800x600

Please also be careful about certain avatars that are animated. Some fast animations can still be a risk for people suffering from epilepsy/seizures.
Thanks folks! ;D
