Just heard an interview with Bush on BBC radio. He was complaining that the press had "Mis-underestimated" him. He just can't help himself

This morning, Bush (chastisement of God be upon him) finished giving what he said was his last scheduled news conference. In it he said that he "heard the voices - loud voices", and I, being the dutiful citizen that I am, quickly went to Youtube to see if anyone posted that bit of dialogue. None had as yet, but then I thought... why waste the moment! ;D

He also said he was "disappointed" that Iraq didn't have WMD. Presumably he was hoping for a full scale nuclear attack on American (etc.) forces.

I liked the admission that he didn't know about the real world.
We realised that a long time a go, fella.

Oh well, he's going anyway, so it doesn't matter anymore.
Bush made some terrible mistakes, dragged the American economy in the gutter, made his foreign policy a complete bloody laughing stock but as a man, I rather liked him. Shame about the people around him and his politics.

Well, clowns are usually likable...but they don't make the best presidents.

We were f**ked not matter what we did. We had a choice between President Bush, or, President Al Global Warming Hysteria Gore and President John I'm A Out Of Touch Frankenstien Flip Flopper Kerry It was a disaster any way we possibly could take. There's a real crisis of leadership in this country. We ran out of JFK's and Ronald Reagans.

I think the USA are going in the right direction in electing Barak Obama though. The neo-conservative approach has been a complete and utter failure in the last eight years.
