Yes, and not a very well thought through thought. No one was forcing you to take part in or read the threads concerning muslims. Why do you need a different section to stop you participating in threads dealing with that subject matter?

What happened is that I took it upon myself to learn about it (mostly because I don't like being ignorant about important issues like 'Is Islam a religion of peace').

When I started reading the Koran I literally could not believe what I was reading. So I checked other Islamic sources on the interpretation of those verses and how the book as a whole is supposed to be read. Then I started reading about the history of Islam to test the 'contextual argument' (ie that offensive jihad is a thing of the past and that the sword verses applied only to a distant history). Then I read the recent history of the middle east (beginning with the fall of the Ottoman Empire after World War I), started reading about the resurgence of 'pure' or fundamentalist Islam, which can probably be dated back to the writngs of the Egyptian writer Sayed Qutb (Milestones) in the middle half of the last century, which inspired the establishment of the Muslim Brotherhood (of which Hamas is the Palestinian offshoot).

What I post up is my honest opinion having read all of the above. I apologise if it is not to your taste, but it is my informed opinion.

If you want to argue with me on an informed basis, I would be very happy. But it's ignorant, lazy and rude to throw terms like Islamophoboloony when you haven't done any reading and could therefore not be expected to know what you are talking about.

OOTLG - I forget what is your area of expertise, Teddy Boys or the Mods or something but let me illustrate my point using that as an example.

If you stated to me a fact known by Mods, Teddy Boys and Mods and Teddy Boy aficionados and I merely went 'Pffft, you're crazy! You have a sinister agenda' I would be doing myself a disservice when I could find out about the subject and attempt to counter your point from an informed point of view.

News has reached a number so close to infinity of 'I hate Muslimzzzzzzzzzzzz' threads its hard for the mind to grasp, yet they are basicly the same sad old thread by the same sad people

I think it's 'sad' that you shut yourself off from important subjects and look to vilify or marginalise people who do take the time. I don't understand wilful ignorance. Controversial subjects are what make message boards worthwhile.

Perhps if you ever had anything new to say it would be more bearable, but adnausium you and SS have been posting the same thread for years now, and I have little doubt that will change.

The reason I 'shut myself off' as you put it is for the longest time nothing new has been added, I posted on this subject myself adnausium till it was apparent it was the same old "i hate Muslimzzzz they is evil and anyone who disagrees is walking blindfolded into Sharia law and the UK is onlhy half a step away from becomming a Taliban state'

Now if this changes I'll be there with the best of em discussing the new angle, but as with all obbsessives I doubt we'll see anything new any time soon

Why do you feel the need to 'do an impression'?

I tell what could be added that's 'new' - you having even the slightest degree of familiarity with the material that might give you an insight into what Islam is, rather than being forced into the rather embarrassing position of having to characterise all such debate as 'racism' towards 'muslimzzzzzzzzzzz'

Oh and at the risk of re-hashing one of the oldest part of muslimzzzzzz threads, just cos I come to a different conclusion does not make my conclusion deluded, in fact the fact you cant see things rationally makes me wonder again at the stuff you are reading, as little of the stuff you've posted over the years has ever brought me close to seeing the ShariaState around the corner you have been peddling for the longest time.

This bunch of religious nutters are little threat to us, acouple of bombs some that went off most that didnt hardly adds up to imminent peril , I have always wondered why you feel they are.
