Please accept herewith my token, pointless posting of a nonsense message to aid you in your glorious struggle to reach the big 1000. Your humble servant, Sparklehorse.

And where have you been Mels?
I trust that during your company freebie you converted your colleagues to the LAssie and Hobo cause. Lassie shall and will lick her slight nik better, and get on with the task in hand. Hobo was a touch concerned until Lassie told him that she was fine and didn't need him fannying about when they were behind enemy lines. They are all friends now though

I understand that after poor Lassie had been shot (in the foot, apparently), she went looking for the gunman in a local bar. She was heard by several witnesses saying "I've come for the man who shot my paw"..... (sorry - couldn't resist!)

Just to clarify, the police aren't looking for Lassie or Hobo, as the Old Bill couldn't even begin to know how to track the covert stealth movements of the SAS most proud battleaxes. Hobo's wife was on the news the other day saying that her husband wasn't involved in under cover operations. No-one, least of all us, was convinced, as she was winking at the camera __________________________________

Then, you and poseidon can buy the rights of me, making me a tidy sum, then you can remain totally unfaithful to my text, make your millions and we can all laugh as we holiday somewhere hot. OK - so the cast list as follows: Lassie as herself Hobo as himself Sparklehorse as George Dixonberry - a tough hard line no-nonsense bar tender who is having a stormy relationship with Lassie I was thinking Matthew Corbett could play Tony Blair Any other characters? _______________________________ Message 810 of 12488 in Discussion From: Sparklehorse_3 Sent: 10/1/2001 2:48 PM Oh lordy! of course nothing hardcore, but surely some sort of relationship is in order Lassie is a very good-looking collie - to actually understand why she does what she does I reckon she needs a stormy relationship with Sparklehorse. However, as you are both directors, and I've waved my rights to the film it is entirely your call. ________________________________

Poseidon ?? Thank God it's you - I was beginning to fear for Lassie and Hobo - there they are, stuck behind enemy lines, risking life and paw for Queen and country and then a bunch of dodgy pervs start fantasising about this magnificent Wonder Dog. Now I'm not naive but thought that, with the Lassie and Hobo in such peril that this type of degenerate would have kept their true feelings under wraps until the crisis was over. Please try and keep a tight leash on the pervs - FOR LASSIE'S SAKE ________________________________

Kidnapping with a theme. Seeming as this is a tribute to their war efforts, how about I get kidnapped by the taliban for exposing my ear and as punishment I am sent to live with bin Laden as his 948th wife- aka latest sex slave.
Lassie and Hobo's super powers of intelligence tells them someone is in very serious danger and they do a big mission to try and save me?

Though puppets are not allowed on the front line owing to the fact that they are not real, they could do something useful back home - I have the number of Sooty's agent if we want to get the ball rolling. what is the magic figure we are looking to obtain? The reason I ask is thus - to quote my school report, I was defined as "Chris needs to spend more time working and less time thinking. His over-active imagination, although fun on the playground, has little or no relevance in the classroom and he needs to learn to put his head down". However, as much as Lassie and Hobo are very much the most important thing in my life right now (have I not told I'm single??) surely we need to have some sort of side tracks here and there to recharge the proverbial batteries. Or shall I just be quiet?

web site regarding the current location of Lassie and her K9 friends http://www.DavidIcke.Com@newsitem=@3580599971/icke.asp I think you will agree with me on this one, especially the bit about the Japanese

Tell Aeromouse to tell Hobo and Lassie that we are all behind them, love them dearly (in a friendly non-sexual way) and to keep their heads down. Oh, and make sure they are eating alright and keeping warm at night.

Bad news chaps - just found out that owing to lack of food Hobo has contracted a touch of 'Bin Laden Belly' and is slowing Lassie down somewhat......what about putting some Diacalm in the relief parcel too?

Jaygo, I think you've misunderstood there... the message was actually that 'Hobo's got the Shitzu', referring to his arch-enemy, the evil Knighstbridge penthouse-flat-inhabiting mongrel who yaps first, and asks questions later...

I must confess I did titter out loud at the Shitzu gag and nearly blew my cover as once again I have succeeded in doing nothing all day apart from talk about Lassie. Is anybody else leaving at five on the nose or do people leave later? The reason I ask is I can pretend to do overtime and impress my superiors if we are going for the four figure score tonight?

Oh THAT'S what he said - the Aeromouse crackled at the crucial moment and I was temporarily interupted by an episode of the Archers being transmitted to Kosovo. Thank God you were on the case Sparklehorse with your Enigma code breaker (what was it you returned to Jeremy Paxman exactly?) Sorry for the false alarm - now I really must get back to pushing little plastic dogs around a large map of Afghanistan with a long stick and making cups of tea for the Brigadeer.

Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep movin' on. So if you want to join me for a while, Just grab your hat, we'll travel light. That's hobo style. ....... Top Secret .... Lassie is using a new weapon .... it's the Lassie Laser ...... Apparently it is bark activated - Lassie just has to look at the enemy, woof, and the laser lets off a "round". This has been adapted from the WWII technique where human night snipers used a dog top locate the enemy. They'd wait for the dog to look at the enemy (doggy night vision being top notch) and then fire in the direction the dog looked) Perhaps it's this new technology that's assisting Lassie and Hobo in their quest against the 500 enemies?

Can someone sort out the mole that is leaking military intelligence to the press - Blair must not speak too soon or he might blow Hobo and Lassie's cover. ________________________________ (1 recommendation so far) Message 975 of 12488 in Discussion From: Mitch The Teddy Sent: 10/2/2001 10:44 AM Just to clarify a few pointers if you will. Betty - first off, Hobo came to be the head of SAS due to unwavering support. With his soldiering experience, and the best theme tune for any kids tv show in world (with notable exceptions as has been said more times than "mine's a pint of stella", cartoon characters are not real). Lassie is Hobo's right hand woman. Although a soldier of many years, and many carnations, Lassie has proved her worth in the fighting arena. The scuffle, now known as the First Battle Of Afgahnistan this morning did not involved OBL, but some of his most loyal followers. They were beaten by superior soldiering and Hobo's theme tune. As much as we would like to celebrate this victory, any movement, sexual or otherwise between our heroes would possibly compromise their position. The next objective, Codenamed Operation Maybe Tomorrow will be locate OBL in his secret cave hideaway. ________________________________ (1 recommendation so far) Message 976 of 12488 in Discussion From: Sparklehorse_3 Sent: 10/2/2001 10:52 AM Oh thank god! I agree with everything EXCEPT that their next mission will be to locate OBL!! Finding Osama Bin Laden is an ongoing mission which all specal forces are involved in however, the destruction of Taliban miltary bases and training camps has been brought to the forefront of the agenda!!! Littlest Hobo, Lassie and team are all under orders to search and destroy military bases. I repeat seeking and the destruction of OBL is a secondary objective.......Taliban's resources must be destroyed as the primary objective!

Sorry Chaps
I slipped into my Murray Walker impression and shouted Go before everything logistically was ready. Lassie and Hobo are eager to get stuck in, but will await the order from Field Marshall Poseidon (MC, MM, VC and bar) before commencing any sort of activity. I'll try to remember this for future. Pray please a moments silence for Jaygo also. You will be with us every step of the way sir

These missions are in the hands of The PM, the government and the military itself!! Our crack team are in good hands and they know what they are doing! <salute>

Do you think that, if - sorry WHEN - our intrepid canine hero and heroine our successful in their mission, the Queen would perhaps agree to declare a National Lassie & Hobo Day? Or perhaps change the National Anthem to Hobo's theme.... it's a lot more sing-able, after all....

That would be tremendous
Imagine being at the newly reburbish Wembley, and England are playing Germany at football.
The tannoy announcer states "Please be up-standing for the National Athems"
After paying our respects to "Deutschland Deutschland" the Britsh/England place a hand to their heart and start "There's a voice, that's keeps on calling me.................." Then we stuff them 12-0 Poseidon - I appreciate that you are saying you have no military rank, but, frankly, I don't believe you. Are you working undercover for MI6?
Oh bugger - you can't answer that even if you are can you?

Whadya reckon? ________________________________ Message 1055 of 12488 in Discussion From: Jaygo Sent: 10/2/2001 12:52 PM Oh Sparklehorse, I have risked blowing my cover one more time - you made me laugh raucously at this - laugh with the sheer pleasure of the vision, yes we must do this - perhaps the Flipper Appreciation Society formation dolphin team could be drafted in from their tour of the Outer Hebrides - some lovely Buzby Berkley style aerial shots. Hmmm this is getting better by the minute ________________________________ Message 1056 of 12488 in Discussion From: Andrewj100 Sent: 10/2/2001 12:54 PM Top idea, maybe we could have some cats chained up in a POW fassion! I think it should be held outside, this is just getting to big for any indoor venue. Maybe follow a festival format such as V2001 or Reading or something! Running simulaniosely with one in the US like that Live aid thing! ________________________________ Message 1057 of 12488 in Discussion From: Poseidon Sent: 10/2/2001 12:55 PM What's going on??? Have you all lost sight of what is really going on??? ________________________________ Message 1058 of 12488 in Discussion From: Sparklehorse_3 Sent: 10/2/2001 1:00 PM Love it, Jaygo, love it. Yeah - we could have a giant tiered fountain in the middle of the stage, and the dolphins could wear Esther Williams-style swimming caps with big, floppy flowers stuck all over them, and do synchronised high-dives from tier to tier.... The crowd'll go wild.... ________________________________ Message 1059 of 12488 in Discussion From: Andrewj100 Sent: 10/2/2001 1:03 PM I'm thinking BIG BIG BIG, the dolphins could be the support act for the Sperm whale high diving show! ________________________________ Message 1060 of 12488 in Discussion From: Poseidon Sent: 10/2/2001 1:04 PM <shakes head> ________________________________ Message 1061 of 12488 in Discussion From: Andrewj100 Sent: 10/2/2001 1:04 PM <hear rattle> ________________________________ Message 1062 of 12488 in Discussion From: Sparklehorse_3 Sent: 10/2/2001 1:05 PM Maybe we could get Big Willy to come over from the US to join the show? A sort of audience participation thing, where he splashes water from the top tier of the fountain (along with the sperm whale, of course) all over the audience? ________________________________ Message 1063 of 12488 in Discussion From: Jaygo Sent: 10/2/2001 1:14 PM Just made lovely illustration of a dolphin with a flowery swimming hat on but cant work out how to make it come up - not v.good with graphics. Big Willy would work if it was an outdoor military show, like the Russians have. Perhaps a fly past by the homing pigeon fighter squadron who could then pull a large banner with pictures of Hobo and Lassie with coloured spray cans on their ankles so they can make pretty smoke plumes ________________________________ Message 1064 of 12488 in Discussion From: Poseidon Sent: 10/2/2001 1:20 PM ok ok enough of this planning a big event!!!!! all sounds great but if we dont support our team out there and keep track of 'em then its all pointless!! Now Jack Straw has also decreed that Britain will hit the Taliban where it hurts.....this means our guys have a lot ahead of them in combat!!! Parties can be planned later. ________________________________ Message 1065 of 12488 in Discussion From: Andrewj100 Sent: 10/2/2001 1:21 PM We need an apearence of thingy the geneticly cloned sheep, maybe painted in the union jack colours. ________________________________ Message 1066 of 12488 in Discussion From: Sparklehorse_3 Sent: 10/2/2001 1:21 PM Yeah - like it Jaygo. This is really taking shape guys - keep working on it. We need a big chorus to go with the number though, so how about recruiting the services of the Lark's Choral Society? I hear they do a lot of charity work, so I'm sure they'd be willing to lend their voices to such an important occasion. Trouble is, you have to get up so early in the morning to catch them and ask.... __________________________________

You're right, you're right... Plans for the benefit night will have to wait until we know when our intrepid heroes will be returning anyway.... Poseidon? What's the word on the grapevine then? I heard a rumour that there's a sandstorm heading for them, which I'm terrified will jeopardise their work....

all i can say is that they are trained for such things and that i'm sure they'll cope. they are keeping radio silence at the mo so we have to hope their elite training pays off!

Maybe hobo will become friends with bin laden for a while, that is his special power after all and maybe lead him straight to the US authoritys.
Will binladen have is fearsome army of cats with him, every one knows the Talibans are pussys!

Seem to have missed a lot during a staff meeting- during which Lassie and Hobo weren't mentioned once!!!! They're an inconsiderate group my collegues- don't give a toss for the hero's striving on behalf of their (taken for granted)freedoms.

What is the status on quaranteen for Lassie and Hobo, are they to be allowed traight back into England or will they have to sit out for 6 months waiting for signs of rabies?

They will be national war heroes, however they are i the SAS so the general public wont hear much about their return! Thats what they get for being in the SAS....a covert and private lifestyle!

Have you managed to finish your tracking software yes Pos? Last post I read u said it was nearing completion. I have arranged to a new tracker collar to be included in the next relief drop but am concerned that the littlest hobbo will not be able to do up the buckle. I think we should look for a human voluenteer to go in with the air drop and attach the new collar / tracker device on to lassie, I'd voulenteer my self but just got a new contract doing a web site about lard today so I'm a bit busy for the next week( pls see http://www.allaboutcookingfatstuffwithlard.com)
