Sheesh - I followed that link and, if that's what a "nuisance alligator" can do, then f*ck knows what a "tooled-up nasty-b*st*rd alligator with tattoos, piercings-in-the-tail and an uncontrolled coke habit" can do.
Still - Florida eh?

Voice you b*st*rd! I almost did myself an injury laughing so hard at some of those! Hiding in a swamp? Riding a manatee? Thief wears a transparent plastic bag as a disguise? I mean, come ON! There has to be some serious inbreeding going on south of Tallahassee surely.
Thanks for posting, you STAR!

Y'see, you say "harmless" and that may well be but, luck not being my strong suit, the moment I venture to put a toe in the water is when the dinner-bell is sounded for that shark's mates.

Never saw orcas when I lived there, but yeah they don't usually bother with humans.

I thought that would have been too far south/north for them.

Orcas have attacked humans but it's very rare. Three years I lived in Abu Dhabi and never saw an orca. I did see women bathing in the sea, wearing burqas, which was very amusing.
Orcas tend to stay away from places with high human population anyway.

I always think of Orcas as being cold water dolphins. But I also thought of them as evil people-killers who’d eat your liver as quickly as you could say hi to their mum. Shows that I know nothing.

Have you ever been attacked by a burkha while swimming?

We've been seeing a lit of Orca here in the past few weeks, mainly cos the sealing population came through following the herring. Saw one breaching in the bay a couple of weeks back.
Off to Alaska in a few weeks, loads of em there by all accounts
