I wrote a reply to Avi which has disappeared, am I the victim of censorship by the rightwing hordes determined to stop me spreading the truth? Or are you the victim of pressing Preview instead of Post? Maybe. Anyway, it was incredibly convincing and if it had shown up there'd be no more discussion, so perhaps it was better lost.

I don't even see how the slogan is offenisve. 'There probably isn't a god'. Note: 'Probably'. The Bus Driver lives in a society where people think that, so he believes that there most certainly is, so what? It's an ad on the side of his freakin bus. It's not like they're forcing him to go to Atheist meetings or owt.
Fire him and then burn him at the stake.

If there was a slogan on my bus that said "Kill Cats!", I would not be very happy but I would rise above it and ignore it. After all it is only a advert on the side of a bus. It won't kill you, it won't harm you. It won't give you an STI. I guess it is the same with these religious fanatics. Ignore them and suffocate the attention that they crave. I have changed my mind, these adverts should not be banned, but all of them should also include the wording, "I am a religious tosser".....

What an absolute nob. He reacted to 'There's probably no god so stop worrying and enjoy your life' with 'shock'?
Beggars belief.
And Tarrant, my god do you spout some rubbish!

Is the advert having the desired affect though? Are people heaving a big sigh of relief and giving up the pointless journey to church on Sunday? What was the point of the bloody advert anyway? I fcuking hope that atheists aren't going to pressure for rights as well. We've got too many groups squabbling for freebies and their own leisure centre swimming pool slots as it is.

Don't worry rick. Most Atheists couldn't give a toss and just get on with life free from worry about Hell n stuff.

This is typical of the stupid fundie Christian element though. They are always want to preach their agenda and way of life to everyone else. What gives the stupid bus driver cos he's a Christian priority over everyone else?

That's a very good point fastkitty.
Not like these people who would never resort to plastering their agenda on the sides of buses.

This man deserves all the backing he gets !
That’s a man who despite his belief’s at least gets up off his ars, forgets about the money he earns and stands up for what he belifes in and takes action !
He should not be sacked if he does hell help the bus company.
The company should be forced to take down the advert since they are a public service and should not be advertising ANY beliefs even Christian.
I disagreed profoundly with the fire service being bashed for complaining about handing out LGBT material despite being a bi transsexual myself.
I would love to see the same company display a logo that reads ‘ There probably is no Allah so take off your burker.’ The buses would be bombed ! The argument that the company does not endorse the crap there pedalling is a cop out because they will gladly take the money from the atheist organisation that composed this.
I am very proud of this man and his democratic display of protest !
In fact am off to make a formal complaint to these people myself.
NICE ONE CHRISTIAN BUS DRIVER ! ;D

Democracy why do you think the advert is anti Christian? I bet you smashed your knee off the table while typing that fcuking nonsense above.
I hope the cnut gets the sack and ends up on the street in a cardboard box, getting sanrnies from atheist charity groups..........or gets the clap.

I agree with C N.
Although I agree I would prefer not to see any religious advertising in the media. It obviously only invites conflict and bitterness between people, there is enough of this in society without any more of this crap in the name of make-believe faeries and ghosties....

Fine. That much seems to be the consensus.

Their's as a religious message.

No-one has a right to judge us. Tell that to God. There's an idea for the next atheist bus slogan. Is God a Christian?
