At the very least it’s evidence that Trump should have fully divested before becoming Prez. The whole point is that it removes any appearance of impropriety. When things like this happen, even if it isn’t improper nobody can know.

When things like this happen, even if it isn’t improper nobody can know. Hang on. Are you suggesting that he should have sold all of his assets upon becoming POTUS? The suggestion here is that he has the time and inclination to order the USAF to re-route their flights so that he can oblige a few aircrew to stay at his golf club at reduced rates. Yeah, that'll be a nice little nest-egg in his retirement. Former-US presidents are famously hard-up. Come on.

Pretty much. He should have put his assets into a qualified blind trust or divested himself of any that might conflict, as every other modern President has done. The Office of Government Ethics said that he should when he was elected. As the linked article below says: "A federal statute bars executive branch employees, including cabinet officials, from participating in any decision that would affect their financial interests or those of their family and business partners." This doesn't apply to the Prez explicitly, but if the principle holds for, say, the Secretary of Commerce, then it obviously should apply to the Prez. www.npr.org/2016/12/13/505476925/government-ethics-office-says-trump-should-divest-himself-of-his-businesses

Oh, and as for the USAF flights, why are they landing in Scotland and hanging about on a Trump property? Nobody is saying that it's being commanded by Trump, but there are lots of people in the administration and military for whom it is beneficial to make decisions that benefit Trump. And this is not an isolated incident - there are a great many federal dollars being spent at Trump properties that weren't before the Trump presidency, and there are also a lot of foreign government dollars being spent at Trump properties that appear to be being spent to try and buy favour.
Which is the whole point of why this ownership is massively problematic.
And also, combined, it comes to a lot of cash - I know that ex-Prez's aren't hard up for cash. But unlike those people, the massive majority of Trump's post-Presidency wealth won't come from writing dull books, sitting on the boards of banks, and giving comically expensive speeches to conferences of the Great and Good. It will come from the assets that are being supported by the US taxpayer during his presidency.

Confirmation bias. Landing at Prestwick is probably because there are very few options on that particular great circle path. Voice, the dunce, managed to point to two large US air bases in UK which are no longer operational flying stations. So, an 800mile+ round trip to refuel in another US air base at - what - $ 50,000/hour perhaps? Plus maintenance those notorious C-5 hangar queens?
Pfft, sir! Pffft!

Pffft! god this is pathetic, listen to yourself man, really, even the scantest look at the reporting on this shows the USAF never used Prestwich before 2017, re-fueling there has cost the USAF an extra $11 million cos its more expensive there than at the usual bases they use (and focusing on which particular base as if that's the important part in the story is just as risible) Trumps resort there is struggling and Prestwick was being looked at for closure and this has effectively propped up both the airport and the Trump resort. Though that you failed to read and comprehend this yesterday I'm expecting more of your usual bluster and bullshit today. taskandpurpose.com/air-force-c17-scotlandThough this kind of grift is nothing new for this kleptocrat, he wants to host the G7 at another loss making resort of his in Miami www.businessinsider.com/trump-suggested-hosting-next-g7-at-his-resort-could-illegal-2019-8

So, Fox uses the NYT report to point out mistakes that CNN made. It conveniently forgets to mention (and certainly doesn't refute) that the NYT report says that the agent was extracted "because of concerns that Mr. Trump and his administration had mishandled delicate intelligence". And Fox comes close to lying with "CIA officials "made the arduous decision in late 2016 to offer to extract the source from Russia" — weeks before Trump even took office." Because this was (a) after Trump was elected, just before he came to office; and (b) because the actual extraction happened in 2017, after Trump was in office.

Anyway, Bolton US President Donald Trump has fired his National Security Adviser John Bolton. "I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House," he wrote. "I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions," Mr Trump wrote, adding that a new national security adviser would be appointed next week. The firing comes amid reports of divisions in the Trump cabinet over a cancelled peace plan to invite the Taliban to the US. www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-49655279There was reporting yesterday Trump blew the Taliban deal cos after lengthy negotiations in Qatar where everything was agreed and initialed ready for a final signing, to be done in Qatar, that Trump's narcissistic desire to have a highly visible win and promote the idea of him being the great deal maker (despite not being involved at all) he tried to have the whole thing moved to Camp David, the Taliban, not unsurprising did not want to change what had been agreed on and certainly had no desire to put themselves on US soil, balked and said feck off.

You're the one that made the claim. Do you even know which great circle paths you are referring to?

odd that planes that can fly huge distances and have never had an issue with getting to their usual re-fueling bases suddenly struggle to get there and have to go to Prestwick at a massively increased cost. Still its telling old piss and wind is still focusing on things of no import to the story.
