It's a slow train wreck, why Sessions hasn't gone yet is a mystery, maybe he's too dim to take the hint, who knows, but Trump obviously wants him gone so he can have an AG who will fire Muller.
Trump is already looking into his pardoning power for family and close associates, even if he can pardon himself. He sounds like a little boy who asked 'what if we're king?'

Sessions is an interesting one. He's going to try and hold on until about March next year is my guess.
He's having too much fun trying to disenfranchise black people (which Trump stopped caring about when it got in the way of profiteering and trying to avoid prosecution) to quit too soon.
But Alabama's special election to replace Sessions is in November 2018, so Sessions will probably wait until the Alabama primary is close to happening before quitting as AG and therefore getting back into the Senate.

He might want to cling on, but it's looking more and more as if Trump is trying to push him out, the latest leaks against him lying about his Russian meetings appear to have been leaked by the White House

huge win last night, bigly indeed www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40723060The US Senate has rejected a Republican plan to replace President Barack Obama's signature healthcare policy. The 57-43 vote defeat marks the start of a days-long debate on a sweeping overhaul that critics fear could deny healthcare to millions of Americans. The Better Care Reconciliation Act (BRCA) was crafted over two months but attention now turns to other options. And with the house voting to impose more sanctions on his boss, Trump may have to risk pissing Putin off or raising even more questions if he chooses to veto the new sanctions.

The Sessions Trump thing is utterly hilarious. Because Trump, for all his bluster and his old Apprentice Catchphrase, is a total and utter coward and has basically fired nobody in his life. Not one person has been sacked from this administration. A bunch have been forced to stand down because they're too visibly corrupt, but Trump himself has got rid of nobody.
So now we're in a position where Trump is trying desperately to get Sessions to quit, but doesn't have the cojones to sack him. Meanwhile, Sessions is having too much fun screwing minorities and the electoral system (and, at this point, might also just be enjoying winding up Donald) to resign. So they're in a stand-off where neither is doing anything.

there's open warfare in the west wing now, no one is even attempting to cover it up www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40735613"If Reince wants to explain that he's not a leaker, let him do that," he told CNN in a phone interview. "He's gonna need to speak for his own actions", he added. President Trump has said that leaks from the White House are a national security threat and must stop. The tensions between two of his top aides appeared to be made public when Mr Scaramucci tweeted on Wednesday night that his government financial disclosure form had been leaked. And Sessions is likely to be fired in time for Trump to make a recess appointment so his new pick won't have to go through the conformation process.

Transgender ban: No policy change for now, says top general www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-40740788Even the armed forces are telling him to feck off. This shambolic mess is looking like a badly done amateur dramatic farce down the local church hall than anything else these days.

So, Trumpcare has failed again. If it didn't involve the risk of tens of millions of people being without healthcare, this would all be very, very hilarious.
It's very funny that it was McCain, who the Republicans were lauding as a hero because he voted for the motion to proceed (because that was standard Senate practice) killed both the Repeal without Replace, and Skinny Repeal (because they were not part of standard Senate procedure). He's been wrong about many things, but this is kind of fun.
I think perhaps he just doesn't care any more. He's not going to outlive his 6 year term, he just got re-elected, he beat a primary attempt, so he's probably stopped playing games now.
Meanwhile, some other Republicans have been royally screwed by this - voting in favour of destroying everyone's healthcare and not even getting a win for it. Lots of Representatives are in trouble now for this; and Heller and Flake in particular could be in lots of trouble in the 2018 elections.

We are seeing why Trump sweep though the Rep primarys, he has the support of about 60% of the republicans, and none of the Democrats, but still has the support of the people who voted for him,
I would have rather seen a clean repeal of Obama Care, then start from scratch, then the Dems would likely join in shaping the thing, think it is time to cut losses and move on to taxes, if the republicans can agree on a tax cut,

Trump, of course, never really cared about killing the ACA. During his stump speeches he was all over the place, supporting medicaid, telling people they wouldn't lose any coverage. So he never bought in to this Congressional mania to completely repeal it. And, for the little bit he did care, it was all miles over his head. He's not really damaged by this at all, unlike Congress.

and the ACA is at its core very much a conservative bill, so the GOP actually like large parts of it, repeal makes little sense to most of the GOP voters as they disproportionately benefit from the medicade expansion, though a lot of trump voters hate Obamacare they love the ACA (I know, but they did vote Trump).

Well, yes. The ACA was crafted to be a bipartisan piece of legislation, based on Republican ideas such as that implemented by Romney in Massachusetts. It was a program that was created and endorsed by one of those right-wing think tanks. Basically speaking, the Republicans can't come up with a market based solution that works better than this, because this was already their best idea.
But, of course, it was put in place by a black Democratic president, and the Republicans were so hell-bent on trying to make sure he achieved nothing, and that what he did achieve got undone, that they were desperately trying to make a bad system worse.
It's hilarious, and inept, and useless (and, of course, a little bit evil).

Anyway, his boss is loosing patience and finally reacting to the sanctions Obama slapped on him in January. I don't think its working out quite as Putin would have wanted. www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-40751973

AHA is better than nothing but its a tiny part of what the Dems wanted to do but had to bend to the GOP. It's Trumps own GOP sabotaging him, the Dems don't have to do a fecking thing.

meanwhile, the stock market keeps plugging along, Illegals crossing the boarder are down, pipeline being built, oil is being drilled, coal minners are going back to work, new factories are being built, MS13 is being taken down,
