I wouldn't think he would after the Obama Peace award, clearly it is meaningless, but I don't speak for Trump

Obama debased it. It's considered an insult now.

NK has played games before about coming to the table with the US so it remains to be seen if anything comes of this.
If they do indeed denuclearize, then kudos to Trump.

There are now two pieces in the Guardian criticising Trump for talking to NK. It's hilarious.

Glad SK elected Moon Jae-in, as despite snowflake wanting to take credit for this, only Jae-in's willingness to engage in diplomacy and not schoolyard insult throwing is showng actual results. Though snowflake starting a trade war with Japan and SK is gonna muddy the waters, SK's forign minister has said this morning these tariffs will damage us/sk relations. Though knowing snowflakes love of despots and dictators he probably sees fat boy as more of a natural allie than SK. And Putin and China are very pleased their man will meat with NK.
As for job figures, good on the face of it, but as the unemployment figures haven't changed you gotta conclude as many jobs must have been lost as gained.
Its interesting the State Department have started the day playing down the meeting ever actually happening, and certainly not by May, so we'll have to see.

Its amusing how they deride Nixon for being a liberal while they have raised Reagan, much more liberal than Nixon ever was on a wide range of things, to sainthood.

NK has played games before about coming to the table with the US so it remains to be seen if anything comes of this. If they do indeed denuclearize, then kudos to Trump. Trump had nowt to do with it. This is NK's last chance to milk the world for food & aid without meeting any concession they may offer as they have in the past. They have working nukes, they have working but insufficiently tested ICBMs, if only one of say 20 IBCM'S gets through the overall military ineffectiveness of the US becomes immediately apparent as NK are already a nuclear state. Nukes guarantee Kim's future (isn't that the whole deterrent argument?) for decades to come and that's a damn good hand of Texas Hold Um & we know Trump's record with gambling. None of this is Trump's fault, he's just the incumbent at this stage of NK's very long term schedule, but by feck is he the very last mammal to be in charge of a rapprochement.
