It's affirming to be sure, just had some scouse taxi driver on the telly saying a whole convoy of em came over from Liverpool to shuttle people back there as the trains have stopped. Yeah, we mancs take the piss out of scousers all the time, and vice versa. It's a regional rivalry thing which has been going on forever, but when sh*t like this happens all that nonsense is forgotten and everyone mucks in to help. For once, I'm glad to be living in Norfolk. If we were back home my daughter would have been begging to go to that concert. |

I was listening to the radio 5 for about 4 hours, interviewing as many attendees as they could and sending messages that so & so are safe. Taxis driving folk home for free, hotels taking in shocked survivors including one group of 50 young teens and locals opening up their homes.

What did the person who sent this bomber, probably a young person - to blend in - say to them to convince them that murdering young humans was a 'good thing'?
And what are they thinking now? Are they pleased with their night's work?

Not that a concert with just adults would be ok, but when the target is venue where you expect the number of children to be especially high it seems sicker than normal. And what degree of brainwashing goes on to convince somebody that there is a higher purpose in blowing yourself up at a concert for kids? |

I was on a plane yesterday, and the have some TV channels on JetBlue so I was watching CNN when this was reported. After about 2 hours of them saying the same things over and over again without any substance, I just had to switch it off. I despise 24 hour rolling news. I want to find out what's going on, but they get such a hard-on for things like this and speculate and speculate like crazy. Why can't they just say "We don't know anything yet" because news is about giving out information.
Anyway, I've got to the point where I'm unable to read any more about it, because it's a mixture of the hideously mawkish, vox-pops of people who vaguely heard something, fake-good-news stories about how wonderful humanity is - to behave like normal humans and offer help when people need it, guesswork, and about 1% of actual substance.
