I always get utterly livid with the fucking news outlets first reporting "We wonder if this is ISIS", then reporting "ISIS have claimed this".
ISIS are a shower of cunts, and of course they're utter cunts for glorying in the deaths of children. But of course they're going to fucking claim this. They'd claim responsibility if someone got knocked off their bike. It's not news, and reporting that they're claiming it when there's no evidence they in fact had anything to do with it just gives them "credibility" that they do not deserve.
Fuck ISIS, of course, but also fuck the media cunts for giving them a platform.

I was on a plane yesterday, and the have some TV channels on JetBlue so I was watching CNN when this was reported. After about 2 hours of them saying the same things over and over again without any substance, I just had to switch it off. I despise 24 hour rolling news. I want to find out what's going on, but they get such a hard-on for things like this and speculate and speculate like crazy. Why can't they just say "We don't know anything yet" because news is about giving out information. Anyway, I've got to the point where I'm unable to read any more about it, because it's a mixture of the hideously mawkish, vox-pops of people who vaguely heard something, fake-good-news stories about how wonderful humanity is - to behave like normal humans and offer help when people need it, guesswork, and about 1% of actual substance. I hate the news which isn't really news too. It's just bullshit. "Keep watching while we know nothing and speculate". I prefer to ignore it and read stories in a few days when there is more information to hand. |

ISIS claiming responsibility has become a worldwide joke, but it's still news, of sorts.
As for the 24hr rolling news, why would anyone watch it long enough to hate it? You switch it on, see if there's anything new, then switch off.

Very sad, horrible news. To deliberately target kids is beyond pathetic.
I think these a$$holes do this to try and kick off a war between Islam and the West. What other reason could it be? It certainly isn't out of any muslim purity or to die as a martyr and get to hold Mohammed's hand in the afterlife, as the vast majority of these pos's are usually found to be into porn and drugs.
