That’s weird. And seems very wrong. Although obviously people are excluded from lots of Yellowstone. We’re not all allowed in all part of all the parks at all times.

Even if they’d rented it it seems weird that the NPS would allow rental of a spot like that. If Lake District NP rented out a chunk of Striding Edge it would see a bit off. But, yes, that does seem to be a key question not answered in the article.

I bow to your local knowledge. I think you can rent certain facilities in our National Parks.
It would be interesting to learn whether or not they were just trying it on, like those prices who put cones out on the street to reserve parking space outside their houses.

Same as Baloo. I know you can rent the hotels in the national parks. I don't know if you can rent specific outdoor areas like this one.
Reporting is so unclear. They should do something about it.

She’s having a mental health episode. He seems to be acting as if she isn’t. What she needs his healthcare.
