You mean an organisation that exists to objectify women has executives who are rather disrespectful about women? No. I am truly shocked...

Which makes you wonder why any women enter these "competitions" in the first place?

There are always people who define themselves by how attractive they can make themselves to the opposite sex, the more people who just after them the better they feel. Men do this differently, but just as many do it.

I just assumed they are using their appearance for financial gain, no different to a model for instance?

Which makes you wonder why any women enter these "competitions" in the first place? Really? I think we know why women enter these competitions. They know they're being objectified as sexual objects, and one way or another they're fine with it. And even so, it doesn't really reflect the story, which is the amazing lack of surprise that an organisation designed to objectify and sexualise women turns out to have a culture of objectifying and sexualising women.

If you'd all just let him conquer all the other countries and kill all the people he didn't like, we'd have had world peace.

Which makes you wonder why any women enter these "competitions" in the first place? Not really. They live in a society that tells them their entire worth is based on their looks. So a competition that validated that with money is going to attract some people.

Some certainly do. Nobody said all women live in that world. But some do

I say all women live in that society.
But of course not all women let it impact them.

Doesn't it give you a little buzz when males appreciate you for what you look like?

"Emotional intelligence" is what poofey lefties use to explain the gap between their actual IQ and that of us moderate, rational centrists. It's gumbo for the gormless. A medal for joining in. "Best at being yourself."
That sort of thing.
