Going pretty well I'd say. I'm quite pleased.

Going pretty well I'd say. I'm quite pleased. So will Christmas and new year, because we will still be in the EU.

One of the last large capital projects to come out of Belfast was the Titanic.
Just sayin'.

Not really. Harland and Wolff built many, many ships.

But yeah, prorogation ruled illegal. At last the law speaks against a government of crooks and incompetents now run by a very dubious Russophile, Dominic Cummings, no doubt soon to be Sir Dominic.
But will Downing Street hand over the evidence as decreed? Unless it breaks the law again, the evidence will clearly show that the Prime (hafuckingha) Minister lied to the Queen. Imprisonable, surely?

During our time in the EU. Hugely successful for generations; join the EU and a few short years later, kaput.

No, just outdated and unable to compete.

seemed able to compete before EU,
isn't refusing to comply with election results somehow illegal?? if you give EU a veto you will never leave, which is the point,, Johnson should have already left EU, it will only be harder the longer he waits

the one 3 years ago when UK voted to leave EU, don't see how you can remain in EU and still try to call yourself a democracy

the one 3 years ago when UK voted to leave EU, don't see how you can remain in EU and still try to call yourself a democracy Wasn't an election. It was a referendum. As for Harland and Wolff's demise, it's all here.... Little to do with the EU. More with not being supported by successive British governments.

An election and a referendum are two entirely different things.
Referendums are not legally binding, so legally the Government can ignore the results; for example, even if the result of a referendum were a majority of "No", Parliament could pass it anyway, because parliament is sovereign. Or vice versa.
It was a political game played by the Tories and most of the electorate didn't take it seriously - didn't even bother to vote.
An election's an entirely different creature.

Not really. Harland and Wolff built many, many ships. Oh dear. Yes - agreed! Sadly though, the "Titanic" is a lot better known (infamous perhaps) than the "SS Zambezi Chugger", and therefore sticks in the mind somewhat longer. With regards to America it got about halfway, was badly captained, risked the lives of many and the livelihoods of even more, was a vanity project based on opinion rather than sound understanding, and appealed to the super-rich, carrying the poor along merely as steerage - perhaps not such a bad metaphor for the Brexit camp after all.

You've just described the EU! Well done. Also, H&W- the Canberra.
