Downing Street has just rejected talks of a pact with Nigel Farage at the next general election - following a front page advertisement in the Sunday Express this morning. A senior Conservative source[?] added: "Neither Nigel Farage nor Arron Banks are fit and proper persons and they should never be allowed anywhere near Government."
Indy.

Documents warning of food, fuel and medicine shortages after a no-deal Brexit should be kept secret because they will scare people, a government minister says.
Andrea Leadsom, the business secretary, signalled Boris Johnson will defy parliament’s order to release the Operation Yellowhammer dossier – arguing the public was better left in the dark.
“I actually do not think that it serves people well to see what is the absolutely worst thing that can happen,” Ms Leadsom said.
Rotten to the core.

The Canberra. Great ship. Sailed on it twice.
In the end, in spite of its fine war record in the Falkland Islands campaign, P&O couldn't even be bothered to offer it to anyone as a hotel / education centre / whatever, in spite of others wanting to buy it.
Scrapped in Pakistan, perhaps because we only build ships here (or used to) - there can't be any ship-breakers in the UK, obvs.

It was scrapped on a white sand beach stretching for miles that I once sun-bathed on, just outside of Karachi. Now the place is a polluted hell.

Oh dear.
It's obvious that in purportedly calling Leadsom a "stupid woman", John Bercow may now have broken the Official Secrets Act himself.

the one 3 years ago when UK voted to leave EU, don't see how you can remain in EU and still try to call yourself a democracy You don't understand British democracy or European law or respect either. We have a parliamentary democracy in Britain. That means decisions, such as on European Union membership, are taken by Parliament. Certainly not by 17.4 million voters out of 46 million. We are a member of the EU and bound by EU law. Article 50 stipulates that a state, giving up its membership, must leave on terms set out by the EU. If the parliament of the withdrawing state fails to ratify the Withdrawal Agreement, its membership is simply cancelled.

Good. No more dishonest Project Fear. The nerve. It was a Brexiter invention. Remainers told the truth, Brexiters shat.

An all-round good egg added: "Neither Boris Johnson nor Jacob Rees-Mogg are fit and proper persons and they should never be allowed anywhere near Government."
As some keep saying on here, "fixed it for ya".

Hahaha...
And there's more... "The Conservative Party chair has failed to deny that the document warning of meltdown after a no-deal Brexit – which ministers branded “out of date” – is less than three weeks old."
Lies, lies, lies. A plethora of them even.

If it was a secret, nobody's been very good at keeping it a secret. Least of all Leadsom.

I think I understand it, you are no longer a real country and are just a state of the EU, the majority of those who voted chose to return to being a country, who needs to be a democracy when you can be a state of the EU,

Sorry, jim, but we're just different to the US which, in itself, one could argue is not really a country - just a collection of states.
Thing is, if we do "secede" from the EU, the EU won't declare war on us thereby costing the lives of 750,000 people - as much as some in the Brexit camp might want this to happen.

The European Union is an association of sovereign independent states. They have joined together because, as a Union of 510 million people, they are stronger collectively than separately. Naturally, if the UK gives up its membership, it loses the benefits that it has now.
It is not a 'state of the EU' in the sense that American states are states of a quite different sort of union. There is no EU President. There is no EU federal government. The governing body is the EU Council, where the prime ministers and presidents of the member countries of the EU meet together to make policy and take major decisions.
This is exactly what's happening now. The UK has decided to give up its membership and the 27 are trying to find ways of accommodating this demand with the minimum of damage.

Jims on very shaky ground accusing others of no longer being a democracy, the US scores much lower then the UK on the scale of democratic robustness, 2 of the last 3 presidents lost the vote, there is widespread voter suppression and there is massive racial and political gerrymandering where parties choose their voters to stay in power and make it nearly impossible to loose

50% of Eswatini's GDP is accounted for by "Government services".
Good luck in trading in those. Perhaps you had Government Services Futures or other derivatives in mind?
