Was listening to BBC Radio 4 this morning: the interviewers are increasingly more intent on putting their point across than listening to the interviewee.

Shall I give you a clue? Government spending alone contributed "48% of GDP in 2009–10" Sheesh - if I were to offer up 9- or 10-year-old figures as an argument, you'd be one of the first to complain. As it happens, the 2009-10 UK Government Spending to GDP figure was less than 45%, since when the trajectory has, of course, been downward, currently standing at around 38%, which may yet fall further still. Btw, your 48% was never met, the closest being in the mid-70s at a little over 46%. But hey, if you want to resort to figures 45+ years out-of-date, well, knock yerself out. tradingeconomics.com/united-kingdom/government-spending-to-gdp

It's a funny old thing this will of the British People. It's the will of a minority of elegible voters and it was born in 2016. Surely, the British People has grown up a bit since then? Anyway, our elected representatives rule, in the interests of their constituents, not the supposed will of some of them.
As European citizens, we have the right to ask our representatives in the UK and the European Parliament to vote for Remain.

I'll agree to having another referendum if you agree to having another one three years after that and then once every three years in perpetuity. It's the only way to be sure.

The first referendum was on an issue which was of little or no interest, except to Farage and the Kippers, before David Cameron thought up his cunning wheeze. Get Kipper votes, win an election and shut up the right-wing of the Tory Party.
After the second referendum, if there is one, let's hope we return to parliamentary democracy. Of course, there is likely to be a referendum in Northern Ireland and Scotland unless we exercise our right to remain in the EU. .

Isn't it amazing what a £1Bn bribe can buy you these days?
What was it they used to say immediately post-Watergate? "Follow the money" wasn't it?

At some point the BBC is going to qualify their vox-pops by saying "We understand that these are the kind of people you'll find hanging around the center of town on a weekday who have time to talk to the BBC, so they're probably not representative". And possibly by saying "Obviously these aren't representative because we've been doing Vox Pops from Northern Towns for the last year and every single person we spoke to has been a Leaver despite 30-40% of the vote in these towns being Remain."

Strange. When the BoE does it, it's called QE. The EU/Eurozone have the financial levers and muscle to do so, so it would be rather crass not to use them.
Pending the outcome of "The Donald's" spat with his own Fed, I suspect that the EU/Eurozones's move to be both timely and broadly welcome.
