I'm a bit worried about the way the court case is going. There's definitely a bit more sympathy for Miller's anti democracy side from their Lord and Ladyships. It's an invitation to the judges to assume quite a lot of power and people rarely turn down power.

Time to ban the Supreme Court then?
Banning and ending stuff is, after all, the typical tack when it comes to the BBC, the NHS, and our membership of the EU.

And we're back on the War - AGAIN! (There's a subtle pattern forming here amongst the usual suspects). Look, just because Adolf may have bombed cousin Thurstonthwaite's chip shop is not a good enough reason to be hoodwinked by the lies on BoJo's bus.

Guy Verhofstadt weighs in with some home truths for Boris fans. The real global trading power, of course, is the EU, which has recently concluded trade deals with Japan, South Korea, and Canada. As an EU member state, the UK automatically benefits from the 40 trade agreements the bloc has in place with more than 70 countries.
and
the EU is finalizing negotiations for a new free-trade agreement with the Mercosur bloc – Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay – as part of a broader Association Agreement between the two regions. ... an EU-Mercosur trade agreement – which would be one of the largest trade deals in the world, comprising 750 million people www.project-syndicate.org/commentary/boris-johnson-trade-deal-myths-by-guy-verhofstadt-2019-06Yeah, how is that Mercosur deal going, Bert? www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-49753210Answer: down the shitter.

Has our mighty aircraft-carrier been kitted out by the Yanks with its Lockheed Martin F-35 aircraft yet? What would you like them kitted out with? Sopwith Camels, obviously. That's the answer to all aircraft questions. And built by the yeoman British rather than fickle Yanks. Or maybe Fokker triplanes, to honour our European entente.

It's an invitation to the judges to assume quite a lot of power and people rarely turn down power. When Boris loses this case, it's going to result in Britain remaining in the EU. It's massive, this case is. Huge. A huge, huge, huge deal. Which will change the trajectory of the country. The entire cabinet will be locked up for decades for their illegality. Jacob Rees Mogg will be fined his entire inheritance. The Queen will refuse to ever deal with the Conservative Party again because they lied to her. ... oh. Sorry. I've been reading FBPE hashtagged posts on Facebook again. In fact the net result will be nothing at all.

Old Kneeham can have a go at understanding EU/Mercosur trade relations by looking through the pages on the Commission website. You have to be able to distinguish between the comprehensive region to region agreement, awaiting ratification, and the EU bilateral agreements with individual Mercosur countries, which are currently in operation, for one thing. ec.europa.eu/trade/

Or maybe Fokker triplanes, to honour our European entente. I would have thought that the Royal Navy would prefer the Fleet Air Arm to be equipped with traditional British carrier aircraft like the Swordfish, the Firefly or the Fulmar. What's that Bert? You've heard that there's a big boat named after a famous queen in Portsmouth and it's full of Fairies and flying seamen? Bert? Bert?

Odd that the Austrians kiboshed it. They're normally quite keen on South America.

Anyway, good to see that five new Navy frigates are to be built by our friends the Scots. Fundamentally a Danish design (way to go BAE!), although Babcock the "designers" of the ships will be used as "ambience consultants" on the dedicated Trans mess below decks.

Why are you so keen to waste our money redesigning a vessel when there's a perfectly suitable design already done?
Very strange outlook.
