Peer reviewed doesn’t really count, just mean a group of like minded people agree.

It's like democracy. It's not perfect but there's no better method in existence.

its pretty good at rooting out bullshit and debunking poorly done studies, cold fusion and MMR causing autism being some of the highest profile debunking arrived at quickly by peer reviewing.

Thalidomide is still in use, just not for pregnant women, plus it was developed some 60 years ago a lot has changed and we know more now. Brining this up constantly as proof modern medicine is dangerous is like saying cos NASAs first generation of rockets blew up every time we should never trust modern lift vehicles.

And the reason you get side effects from actual medicine and non from woo and snake oil is modern medicine has measurable effects while woo is mostly sugar pills or diluted water.

And I'm sure you back that up with examples.

I don’t think anyone is actually saying that. And certainly not constantly.

Statins=woo=muscle damage=if you’re not careful or aware, you’ll be incapacitated for weeks.

Statins work amazingly well and are credited with saving some 5.9 million people, again there are recognised side effects, most people have non of these side effects, some unfortunately have more, depending on the statin, but just cos a small number experience difficulties while taking them does not mean they are woo (after all we know statins have a measurable effect while woo is just placebo at best). scienceheroes.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=126&Itemid=135

Credited with saving 5.9 million people, out of how many and from what?
I took them for five days, and couldn’t walk, took about 12 months to get back to anything like normal.
Put on a different variety to lower mu cholesterol, side effect not too bad until about 11months, loss of strength in my arms, and constantly aching. Stopped taking them, a month later and strength is coming back. Coincidence? Maybe
After my review, my cholesterol is down from 4.5 to 4.0
Do you call that success?

You are doing your usual and thinking your own experiences are typical then extrapolating that everyone. Your like bloke who gets a flat tire then goes round telling everyone else tires are crap and not worth using on your car, it's idiotic, but then it's you so muff said

And the 5.9 million out of how many were saved from what?
I could say others have had similar experience, and then you’d ask for a link etc etc.
Do you deny many have muscular, joint problems after taking statins?
