I was going to vote Labour until I saw the hugely competent way the Tories have handled the Labour-originated Windrush business. Now it's Tory for me!

Seems the “socialists” here have conveniently forgotten which Scottish PM was at the helm at the time.

Yes, Labour was completely incompetent at the time - the Labour HS didn't even know the Home Office had taken the decision to destroy the records. But Theresa was entirely competent as the next HS and supported the Home Office in their desire to kick out Brits of long-standing.

Bumsrush Generation. "A lawyer for US rapper 21 Savage says he will fight to stay in the US after an arrest by immigration agents who say he is British and in the US illegally. Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph came to America in July 2005 aged 12 and failed to leave when his visa expired a year later, US officials say. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) also say the musician is a convicted felon. His lawyer accused the US of trying to "intimidate" the rapper into leaving." www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-47119936Makes you wonder how this has only just come to light, given his multiple criminal offences. Anyway, he can stay there. No backsies.

Weird old story. Some people are suggesting that ICE arresting and deporting a scary black rapper in Atlanta on the day of the Superbowl in Atlanta is no coincidence.
Anyway, as usual, he's a kid who was brought to the US by his parents. He never migrated to the US illegally. His parents just overstayed their visas. Deporting him seems like a crappy, stupid move.

Yep, absolutely no benefit. Make, I mean let him stay in the US. Yes, I'm totally against this sort of deportation.

I get the whole “tough on illegal immigrant” thing, and generally don’t see an issue with people who chose to enter illegally facing deportation if caught.
But there is something a little barbaric about stripping somebody from the only country they have ever know and sending them to a strange land because of a crime committed by their parents.

Irrespective he shouldn’t be punished for his parent’s crime.

Anyway, his lawyers should be able to stop his deportation on the grounds that his life will be in real danger of he's sent back to London. It's a death sentence.

"Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph was born on October 22, 1992 in the London Borough of Newham in the United Kingdom to British parents Heather Carmillia Joseph and Kevin Cornelius Emmons.[2][15] His parents separated and he subsequently moved with his mother to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of 12[16] in July of 2005.[17] He has four brothers and six sisters, one of whom died due to a shooting after an attempted drug deal.[18]
In the seventh grade, Abraham-Joseph was banned permanently from every school in the DeKalb County School District for gun possession.[19] This led him to begin attending schools around the Atlanta metropolitan area before being sent to a youth detention center.[20] After being released from the youth detention center, he completed eighth grade through an alternative program before finishing a semester of high school; he dropped out in his freshman year following multiple exclusions that he said "exhausted" him.[21]
After dropping out, Abraham-Joseph joined a street gang affiliated with the wider Bloods street gang[9] and became a full-time drug dealer, mainly selling cannabis.[21] He also regularly took part in other criminal activities including robbery and grand theft auto, although he was only arrested once after contraband was found in a car he was driving.[22] In 2011, when Abraham-Joseph was 19, he lost his "right hand" man, Larry, in a shootout.[21] In 2013, on his 21st birthday, Abraham-Joseph was shot six times by rival gang members and his brother Johnny "Tay-Man" Abraham-Joseph was killed during an attempted robbery. "
What a bloody bonus this family have been.
Oh, and nice cultural appropriation with the crucifix.

It seems only 2 were a bit dodgy. And really just one. The guy who is being spoken about. Loads of people do drug deals everyday. I know tons here in Oz. (A Saturday night just wouldn’t be the same for them.)
