In other words, you do not have a logical explanation. If it's wrong for one ethnicity (whites) to dress and act like a person of another ethnicity, it's wrong for blacks to dress and act like white (or brown, or red, or yellow) characters. Plain and simple. No exceptions. Now Trudeau can grovel, pander, crawl on his belly, lick everyones feet in hopes of being forgiven until hell freezes over. I don't care about him. Then you clearly still don't understand. I mean, it would be foolish for blacks to go in whiteface, but it's obviously not the same as blackface.

Trudeau just shifted the blame from himself to "white privilege." Anyway, he's proven that whatever the left accuses the right of doing, they are guilty of doing the same twice as much.

So if blackface is racist then whiteface is also racist, right?

It is very instructive how the liberal mindset simply decides a position (or paints itself into a corner) and, having made the matter absolute with the magic armour of self-righteousness, ceases to defend it in any rational manner.
Funny, I had something of a run-in with my academic tutor during a lecture the other day. He had pulled someone up about the use of the word "slum" and insisted that we should use terms like "informal settlement" or "spontaneous settlement." Now, we all know what a slum is and, upon reflection, he came back a couple of days later and said that it was probably okay to say "slum" if it was used considerately, in context and with a definition. Now, this led to a further discussion about urban development and terms which we all understood, but which might be better used with some sensitivity. I suggested that there were a few such definitions which are recognised, recognisable and which ought to be treated with due care. The terms were "slum", "shanty" and "ghetto." Now, it was the last of these that rattled his cage. He insisted that the word should never be used as it was not a settlement but somewhere where people were forced to live, surrounded by barbed wire and machine gun nests. And only that. Oh dear. Even when one of my colleagues read out a dictionary definition supporting both definitions, he attempted to dismiss it, much to our amusement. I said that we could all see the definition being coloured by events in Europe in the 30s and 40s but, it was self evident that a broader, older and more widely accepted definition was also valid. He would not have it. Would not.
He is almost certainly jewish, which might colour his perspective of course, but that perspective does not trump all others. That is clearly his expectation though.

I can see why ghetto might have uncomfortable connotations and baggage that slum, shanty, favela and Grays don't. But it's also a different thing, even in colloquial US terms.

So if I've understood correctly, blackface is perfectly fine and if I went for a walk around Tower Hamlets in blackface, all would be well?

Indeed. I think you would be carried around on people's shoulders.

I think you'd be better off in Peckham or Streatham. Somewhere south of the river.

CNN has it's nose up Trudeau's butt. Lavishing him with praise and talking about how courageous he is for apologizing.
Just watched Trudeau apologize for his "layers of privilege." Isn't it interesting how it seems that it's the most wokest who have the most to hide as they lecture everyone else from their pulpits?
