Spiked normally supports the rights of business. If this spa is happy to welcome transgender patrons then what exactly is the issue?

Other customers who don’t like that can always go elsewhere.

The hypocrisy of O’Neill playing the race card when he usually decries it is something to behold though.

Also if you read the Guardian article, the actual article has nothing to do with the way he represents it. The article is very clear in saying “it is unclear what actually happened”. A sentiment he actually mirrors in his piece when he says “ As I say, we must wait to find out the full truth about what happened in Wi Spa.”

Also they don’t criticise her for being Christian but for the alleged use of transphobic language. They also don’t say the horror reaction is “pushback online” but the actual wave of violence transgender women faced as a result of this. He should probably not post links to articles or at least read them properly before he does.

A lot of right wing conservatives (and despite his claims to the contrary O’Neill is clearly that) are very inconsistent in their stance on people playing the race card.

Anyway, the issue appears to be that the person arrested here wasn't transgender. So there was no harm in letting transgender women into the spa - which had apparently well understood rules allowing transgender women in.

Well O’Neill is clearly transphobic so to him a wave of violence unleashed against trans women because of the behaviour of a cis gender man is not an issue.
