Being on one is also incredibly loud, I had to hang out of a UAE military helicopter to take some photos of a port facility (in a harness I might add) and while it was an amazing experience, it was also something I was glad I only did a few times.
Even the civilian copters I've been in were loud as fcuk, no way you can talk without the headphones on.

Yeah, it's a miserable flying experience.

I’ve only been on a helicopter once. I agree with you all. It’s loud. And not very comfortable. And not particularly safe. The only redeeming factors are convenience.

Yeah, the seats are not great, the civilian one I had to use when there was a rockslide that cut Squamish off from Vancouver for a week just after we came and the government charted to get cops fire and medical people to work, had woven strap seats, still had a bit of a cool factor flying down the Sound to West Van, but I was glad when the road opened again.

I've flown in a helicopter twice. Once in a little "whirlybird" with the glass 'bubble' front - around Manhattan and out to the Statue of Liberty - great views but very scary !!
Second in a bigger touristy one from the strip at Las Vegas out to the Hoover Dam and then all around and down into the Grand Canyon. I was in the front with the pilot and an American family behind me. I just could not stop being sick!! It's never happened to me like that - I just could not stop! I had to really apologise to them all when we landed.

I have a mate who, on two separate occasions, was in the next trip on a helicopter when it crashed and killed everyone on board.

I’ve been in a helicopter 4 times. All in Algeria. The roads weren’t safe.

“Before they boarded their private jet” says the Mail. Which suggests the kind of wealth and entitlement in a 21 year old who’d probably not listen to a word said by the pilot. Story days he dashed to the back of the helicopters ignoring the shouts to go back. Sounds like idiocy and arrogance.

I see some idiots have died after setting out to sea in what was almost certainly an unsafe boat in the Winter. Morons. "Four people died after a migrant boat ran into difficulties crossing the English Channel in the early hours, the government has said. The BBC's Nick Eardley said a person close to the situation said 43 people had been saved, with more than 30 rescued from the water. A major search and rescue operation was launched in waters between Kent and France in freezing conditions." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-63968941

"contains upsetting scenes"
Umm, it's a video clip of a dinghy looking like it's about to capsize.
Duh, state the obvious...

I wish them no harm, but they're not needed and they're not welcome.
It would be interesting to see a breakdown of the age, sex and origin of each passenger here.
Also, why they prefer UK over France.

I see the the BBC refer to two, "adults" getting treatment. A sly implication that some are children, despite there being none in the video. Also "off the coast of Dungeness" my arse.

I wish them no harm, but they're not needed and they're not welcome. I know you probably believe yourself, but what I certainly hold true is that very few others believe you - apart from your usual Boy-Scout troop, that is. Sheesh, if that innkeeper 2,000+ years ago had been as equally welcoming as you, then your oh-so-apparent Christian virtue wouldn't even f*ck*ng exist.

Now that we've got your sickeningly self righteous posturing done, can you tell me why we need these people and why you think they are wanted by the public of UK?
