parents can be very good parents and still not do the things you would nb, piercings are rather meh these days, lots had them when I was in school in the late 70's early 80's, not sure what the big deal is. And piercings are not an indication of a troubled kid or someone roaming the streets looking to provoke being raped and murdered .

(Seriously men get attacked by men regularly and no lady suggests men modify their behaviour, stay at home and don’t go out etc. Women are attacked by men and the focus is on what additional restrictions should women be placed under because it’s ridiculous to even try to reduce the levels of male savagery.
