No one said it was global.
Only North America, Latin America, South America, the Caribbean, Asia, Australia.

No one said it was global. Only North America, Latin America, South America, the Caribbean, Asia, Australia. Participation in South America is pretty weak. In fact, participation in American "sports" appears to be in inverse proportion to distance from America.

Yeah, Japan and Korea are right next door to us.
It's amusing how you are so up in arms about it.

Tbf they've long played a version in England, well girls at most schools do, same as the girls play a version of basketball.

Yeah, both boys and girls do play soccer, in England only girls really play American sports, not having a go, it's just boys more likely to play football, rugby or cricket. It's just how it is. I doubt many play cricket or rugby where you are either.

Yeah, Japan and Korea are right next door to us. It's amusing how you are so up in arms about it. I'm amazed how you can't recognise facts. Actually, Japan and Korea aren't that far from the US and you have maintained large garrisons in both for many years. So, just to put a lid on your wounded jingoism ..... www.topendsports.com/world/lists/popular-sport/fans.htm

Yeah, Japan is right in our backyard. Tehran is closer to London. Like I said, amusing.

Well, carry on playing with yourself. Like your "sports".
Geography isn't your thing, is it?

Because I don't consider Japan and Korea to be next door, geography isn't my thing. Right.
We all know how much you hate the US. The mere mention of a baseball player's passing and you're frothing at the mouth. Is it something you consider a hobby?

Like subuteo, which is actually more interesting and athletic than American pantomime - sorry - football. Now, how many countries are there between ContUS and Japan? What would you consider to be the recent geopolitical distance between Japan and Korea, say in the postwar period?

Baseball is definitely not big in Australia. I only just learned it’s even played there reading this post. And it’s not played in a lot of Caribbean countries either. The only baseball players I have heard of is Babe Ruth (just the name I don’t know anything about him other than that) and Jackie Robinson. Baseball is played all over Australia. They even won a silver medal in the Olympics a few years back. It's huge in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Panama, and Venezuela. Baseball really isn’t played all over Australia. Not in any major capacity. Rugby, Aussie Rules Football and to a lesser extent soccer - yep. Baseball? Definitely not. You be hard pushed to find an Aussie who could tell you where to watch a match. It’s probably played in Australia to the same extent it is in the UK.

No one said it was global. Only North America, Latin America, South America, the Caribbean, Asia, Australia. Some countries in those regions. Some. And in some of the ones you mention it is a minor sport with barely any media coverage or following (e.g. Australia.)
