Looks like Mosely died of heat exhaustion. I wonder if he was a drinker and was dehydrated to start with. That plus his age and the heat could have done him in. Maybe the weird diets had something to do with it too. It seems amazing that that alone could kill him so quickly. Unless he fell, could not get up and then the heat exhaustion killed him on top of that? Anyway this is why you need to always have water with you when hiking in hot temperatures.

As the token plank on these boards who has allowed himself to dehydrate (twice!) on various charity bike rides, I can testify to the fact that dehydration comes on very quickly, with heat exhaustion coming on very shortly after that. The dehydration gives me the mother of all headaches along with a lot of confusion, and the exhaustion has floored me to the point that I thought I'd never stand up again.
Never run out of water. Never miss an opportunity to take a drink (even if your body is telling you that you don't need one). Never miss an opportunity to refill your water bottle(s). Never think that, because you're young and fit, that somehow you'll live forever and that dehydration only happens to other people.

Willie Mays
Even those of you who deride baseball have likely heard of him. One of the greatest ever to play the game.

Which is odd considering you've taken more balls to the chin than a major league hitter...

I've heard of Willie Mays and Babe Ruth. And Yogi Berra but only because of Yogi Bear.

That’s like me never having heard of Pele. Yeah but footy is the world's biggest sport played in just about every country, baseball is played in just a few places so other than a very small number such as Ruth or Robinson, few others will be known outside the US

Not just a few places. Canada, all of Latin America, throughout the Caribbean, Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan… Probably a third of the players in the MLB are from outside of the US.

It's almost as rubbish as American football and American netball.

Baseball is definitely not big in Australia. I only just learned it’s even played there reading this post. And it’s not played in a lot of Caribbean countries either. The only baseball players I have heard of is Babe Ruth (just the name I don’t know anything about him other than that) and Jackie Robinson.

They even won a silver medal in the Olympics a few years back. It's huge in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Panama, and Venezuela.
