Well quite. The biggest lies on the planet can be laid at the door of some deity or other, with all the inhumanity that can sometimes follow.
It's theism-excused "We were only acting under orders" which, in itself, is a statement that might land me in trouble with some on here.

We are allies with the US just like you. True, we used to be sponsored like you with the Marshall plan but not any more. Like you any millitary aid is for strengthening OUR coalition.
