There are a number of factors that make this situation exceedingly disturbing: [] Information about the planned attack had reached Israeli security authorities before the event. I believe this is his technical title these days, as it is the title of many on the right. The media are obliged to call them by this name because they literally have no other mode of operation. If he asked for a pint of beer and got given a pint he'd be outraged they hadn't given him a free one. Well, neither Israel nor the Palestinians gave much credence to the Oslo Accords back in the early- to mid-'90s, so I really cannot see either side in the current conflict adhering to any legal moves the ICC makes. Of course, after January '25 the Israeli government will feel more emboldened by a hawkish US President, Senate and House of Representatives so, again, I'd be surprised if this move changes anything.
