American money for American plutocrats in the weapons and energy industries. Be even fairer and count the salaries for working class people in these important industries at the expense of teachers and workers in employment that is of public good.

Maybe there's more to it than "footballers are effete pansies, rugby players are nice guys but hard as nails". But I couldn't get that far.

There is but one advert on The Idiot Box at the moment with a rugby player doing the honours, whereas media history is pretty replete with soccer players lending their "brand" to, amongst other things, after-shave, betting sites, cable-TV providers, de-odorants, razors, skin conditioners, sports channels and whisky - as if they needed the cash.

But yeah - rugby players "preening". Right.
