"Don't get too close, I've got a stinking cold/I think I might have flu." Love people like that who turn up for pre-Christmas social occasions. People only say that to keep you away. They're perfectly healthy which is why they're at the party; there are just some people they don't want to talk to... Tsk.. You just couldn't let it go could you.. You wait..

Flu is banded about for a variety of stuff, sniffles, a slight cough, even gastrointestinal trouble, stomach flu (no such thing) but usually not by anyone who's actually had influenza. It's like being hit by a truck I had flu so bad once I was hallucinating, thinking I was out and about feeling fine.

Yeah, especially as if you had the flu, you wouldn't be standing, let alone socialising. I had the flu and went into work. It almost killed me though.

£10-Note Test: - - Drop a tenner - Anyone who can bend down to pick it up hasn't got flu Fire the slacker b*st*rds on the spot using your best "Bah Humbug" voice. I was diagnosed with flu but had still gone into work (pre-diagnosis) and would have been able to pick up a tenner without dying. I did feel like I was actually dying though which is why I went to the doctor in the first place.

The point is, and I agree, that if you really do have flu, you are incapacitated, flat on your back. I'll stop right there.

I am feeling significantly better today. Not least because I have decided that teaching's not for me and jacked. It's horrible. You have to be a certain sort of person I think.
Still, lesson learned. Ironically.

You've left? I know a couple of people who did exactly that too. Trained, worked for a term or two the packed it in.

What sort of ponce goes to the doctor with the flu? I didn’t go to the doctor for the flu. But I happened to be diagnosed with it.

Only those who can afford to? Consistency of argument 'n' that.
