You only have to read, Ricks, headline, suggesting its China is doing the censorship, when infact it had nothing to do with China, its Facebook,twitter and others who are doing the censorship, regarding bullshit posts on the virus.

The first time I went to Canada, I was a bit surprised that I couldn't drink tap water at any of the three places I stayed. My brother's water was contaminated with arsenic, at his inlaws house it was brackish because they were right by the sea, and at their holiday cottage it was bacteria. You could wash yourself, your clothes and dishes in each case but drinking it wasn't advised.

Yeah there are a few places like that, our water is treated cos we live in town, but there are people on well water in the rural areas that can be drank, but probably better not to. Huge country, small population and limited rural infrastructure i suppose.

you don't need to be a genius to figure out drinking bleach wont cure it, that is most likely true, however I am not scared of someone claiming I need to drink bleach, I am more scared of someone silencing the one telling me to drink bleach A private site can choose to have its own rules on misinformation. And I find it genuinely bonkers that you are more concerned by a private site removing misinformation that the fact people are spreading dangerous falsehoods. |

The mortality rate looks quite a lot higher than regular flu. It does really seem that infectious from the anecdata I've seen: planes with carriers on board where the only people getting sick are the person and their direct family. Seems to be about 1% death rate, which is high but not Ebola high. The weirdest bit of data is how few people have officially "recovered". Of 30000 confirmed and 30000 suspected cases, only 1600 are marked as "cured" so far.

Actually, I was pretty coldly on Tuesday. Over it now. I went out with my old crew last Friday and sat next to a mate who was looking a bit under the weather. I'm seeing him later and I'll be sure to thank him. |
