Oh her policies are odious, she's a very conservative conservative and has few redeeming qualities as a politician, but she's put truth before the big lie and wasn't afraid to put her career on the line in order to tell the truth about what happened. She was told if only she'd keep quiet she could keep her job. So few in the GOP have a backbone any more so it's remarkable one such as Liz C putting truth before her own self interest. It's rather dambing on the rest

And really for a two party system to work you need the other side to believe in democracy, the ones opposing Trump on the right while largely horrible people tend to still believe is some limited democracy, the cult that the rump GOP has morphed into clearly has no truck with democracy at all any more.

It's rather dambing on the rest Good move for the future though, because despite the current refusal by the rest of the GOP to see what's staring them in the eye, that Trump really is bonkers, there's bound to be an eventual leadership contest. She'll come out as The One Who Dared Speak The Truth. |

It is weird how genuinely grim hard-core right wing loons suddenly get treated as saviours of moderate America just because they oppose Donald Trump. It’s happened with lots of extremist Republicans who just happen to be more religious, small government, anti-regulation, and pro-war extremism rather than cult-of-personality extremism. That's entirely the wrong take. She's may be as conservative as they come but she's sticking to her principles. I'd rather have people like her than a McCarthy or Graham type who have absolutely none. The House GOP’s 212 members met behind closed doors and conducted a voice vote, despite calls by Cheney backers such as Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., that they make the vote public.

I'd rather Cheney than Lindsay Graham (or Donald Trump), of course. At least you'd have some form of rule of law.
But she is being presented as something like a moderate now - like Ben Sasse or Jeff Flake were - despite being absolutely nothing of the sort.

Is she really though, almost every report on her mentioned she backed the loosers agenda almost every vote and is a very conservative conservative, I've seen no mention she now a moderate, the way she's presented though is that despite being odiously far right in her policies, she at least stands up and tells the truth, knowing it will cost her to do so.

He claims he’s going to be reinstated as President in August. I think the only way it can work is like this. One of Biden or Harris resigns or dies, then the other one nominates Trump as VP and he is confirmed by the Democrat majority House and the Democrat majority Senate. Then the other of Biden or Harris resigns or dies in August and Trump - by being VP - becomes President again.
It doesn’t feel particularly plausible.
