A federal judge on Tuesday denied former President Donald Trump’s attempt to hide key documents from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

“Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President,” wrote U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan as she denied Trump’s executive privilege claims in an attempt to stonewall the committee.

Trump has been in deep denial over his 2020 election loss, to the point where he and those around him still refer to him as “the president” and have apparently even held pretend Cabinet meetings. (Hahahahahahaha!)

The congressional investigation into Trump's failed insurrection has revealed some very interesting things.

In advance of the recommendation, the committee released a report Sunday that contained new details of Meadows’s actions related to attempts to overturn the election results. The report said Meadows “received text messages and emails regarding apparent efforts to encourage Republican legislators in certain States to send alternate slates of electors to Congress, a plan which one Member of Congress acknowledged was ‘highly controversial’ and to which Mr. Meadows responded, ‘I love it.’”

It’s also known that Meadows was on the phone when Trump pressured Georgia’s top election official to “find“ enough votes to reverse Trump’s Georgia loss. He also sought to have the Justice Department question the integrity of the election.

We also found out that Meadows was getting texts from Fox News hosts pleading with him to get Trump to call off his horde from smashing up the Capitol.
Later, they would say from their pulpits that it wasn't so bad and that antifa was to blame for it.

Some of the cultists however are starting to crack under pressure.

Dustin Stockton and Jennifer Lynn Lawrence, who were both subpoenaed by lawmakers in November, have now been identified as sources quoted anonymously in reports about working alongside members of Congress and with the former president's team to plan the rally where Trump spoke and encouraged his followers to "fight much harder" and to "stop the steal."

The couple, who met on Herman Cain's 2012 presidential campaign and have spent years engaged in rightwing political activity, told Rolling Stone in October they had conversations with Reps. Majorie Taylor Greene, Paul Gosar, Lauren Boebert, Mo Brooks, Madison Cawthorn, Andy Biggs and Louie Gohmert or members of their staffs about planning events in support of overturning the results of the 2020 election, which Joe Biden won. Now, Stockton and Lawrence had dropped their requests for anonymity and are speaking out about their role in the Jan. 6 events and their disgust at the violence that occurred.

Their motivations for "turning it all over" and letting the "cards fall where they may" could also stem from sour feelings towards Trump and what they say is his lack of loyalty for those arrested and facing consequences for actions to support him on Jan. 6.

"This guy's sitting on giant gold buildings all over the world with his name on it and we've done more to help those people than he has," Stockton tells Rolling Stone of the former president. "It's f---ing disgusting."

"Other people had warned us," Stockton also says. "It's not like we didn't see him cast people aside before selfishly, but we always kind of just said, 'Oh, that's just disgruntled former employees, right?' You know, we bought the bulls---."

A 54-year-old carpet cleaner who lobbed a wooden plank and sprayed a fire extinguisher at cops during the Capitol riot was sentenced to 63 months in prison on Friday, the harshest sentence yet for those who took part in the insurrection. Robert Scott Palmer, who donned a red “Florida for Trump” hat and an American flag jacket as he stormed the Capitol, pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers using a dangerous weapon.

In a letter to the judge, Palmer said he was “really ashamed” and now recognized that “Trump supporters were lied to” by former President Donald Trump. “They kept spitting out the false narrative about a stolen election and how it was ‘our duty’ to stand up to tyranny,” he wrote. “Little did I realize that they were the tyrannical ones desperate to hold on to power at any cost even by creating the chaos they knew would happen with such rhetoric.”
