So, police killing criminals is fine when they’re black. But when a white criminal is crushed by a violent crowd of insurrectionists and police deploy crowd control gas and try to control the crowd in a way to disperse them and prevent more deaths, the police are in the wrong.

Well, ththere'a couple of things there, aren't there? Perhaps America shouldn't be a habitually armed, militia-minded state.
That, in turn, might reduce the requirement for ridiculously OTT armoured vehicles and military equipment, which is a reasonable goal of the defunding movement.
