The ultimate covidiots: Scuffles break out as police lead away anti-lockdown activists in Hyde Park as hundreds attend protests against restrictions across the UKMasses people have gathered in London's Hyde Park, including the brother of Jeremy Corbyn, to protest against the coronavirus lockdown while brandishing signs reading 'I will not be masked.' Piers Corbyn, 73, was seen surrounded by police officers as he made his way through the crowds, getting involved in the action and making his voice heard. He was later seen holding a sign which read: 'End lockdown now - Free NHS to save those it's left behind.' www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8326161/Police-arrest-activists-anti-lockdown-protesters-gather-Hyde-Park.htmlunless the governments are willing to call in military and have a total police state these lockdowns are going to end,

Errrr ... I think we already have called in the military for logistics, medical and transport assistance/guidance. If you're talking about frontline troops, I think they're both self-isolating or on a diversity awareness course (online).

There is a merger of AV conspiracy idiots and Covidiots. www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/coronavirus-vaccine-quarantine-protesters-america-form-unholy-covid-19-alliance-ncna1207796While the majority of Americans seem to accept scientific information about the deadly coronavirus and are wary of reopening the country before we can be sure it’s safe, one segment of the population is driving the opposite narrative. This group is small but vocal, and represents a predictable if threatening merging of forces. At recent protests, we’ve seen the intersection of those who doubt the statistics and science behind COVID-19, primarily funded by right-wing groups, shouting alongside the distinctive red, white and black bold-lettered signs that have become the hallmark of anti-vaccine protesters.

NJ gym owner cited by cops after reopening, says defiance of lockdown is 'for all small businesses' www.foxnews.com/media/nj-gym-owner-defying-coronavirus-state-health-orderthis started out as a 2-3 week shutdown, has now gone on for 2+mo and no end in sight, this man/business must either open or close for good, he is at the end of the line, like most small businesses, time to open up and allow those businesses that have not yet toppled to survrive,, end the madness

What kind of idiot would go into a normal gym at the moment?
You might go into a very low usage crossfit-style gym with maybe 3 or 4 other people in it. But your standard gym with 20 meatheads standing around the weights and a bunch of people sharing and sweating all over machines and everyone breathing heavily into the same enclosed space sounds like a recipe for covid soup.

Yeah, gyms are probably one of the most spready environments. Of course if no one's got it, no one gets it. Those are my words of wisdom for the day.

the gym owner is at the point where he opens or closes for good, waiting means closing for good, he is out of options, just like many others, if you read the story you will find he cleans each unit after each use, he has them spread out, allows limited amount of people at a time, checks every bodys temp before they are allowed in, who goes to gym if they are sick? hope the court opens him up there is a vape shop near me that has remained open,

there is a vape shop near me that has remained open, Vape shops are stupid on their face, but they are clearly different to gyms. People don't spend an hour or two sweating like pigs, sharing their vape pens, in a vape shop. And authorities probably can't open up gyms generally just because one or two are managed well. The gym I normally go to would almost certainly be fine for covid control because they never have more than 8 people in a pretty warehousy-sized space. Yet if my gym is allowed to open up, LA Fitness is going to throw a hissy fit that they're not allowed to open up.

If I had the test yesterday, it's still no good at telling me if I caught it last night.
Also: How quickly after contracting the disease does it show up in a test? I haven't seen data on that in a while.

Well it's not a time machine...
As for the how quickly thing, dunno. A day or two? I imagine it varies from person to person. If you're sh*t at making antibodies maybe longer. If you're Antibody Man, a few hours?

I thought the antibody test was much longer than that, like one to three weeks after symptoms. The viral tests are the ones that might give quicker response but I don't know if they only show positive after a few days, or if they show positive even after a couple of hours.
