Yeah tell yourself what ever you want, but we know he was being serious, he was actually touting stuff being pushed by the far right fringe for months, Info Wars and Qanon have been pushing this stuff, he was only repeating what he thinks his base is wanting to hear.
And if you had the capacity for honesty I'm sure for about 12 hours, untill he rolled and pretended it was all a joke towards a reporter he wasn't even talking to or even looking at, you were stocking up on lysol and UV bulbs and building up to troll us with calls for Drs to use this as a cure.

It turns out that Pixar has a film unit dedicated to making fake Trump films like the disinfectant one. They're entirely CG and broadcast by a compliant media. There are now many of these films.

What the president actually did was respond to a study that shows that outdoor conditions reduce the coronavirus’s half-life while disinfectants kill it by asking his officials whether these results could be used to treat the virus.
He actually said:
“A question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting … supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way?” he asked.
“And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning?”
He didn't recommend it - he just asked a question - a stupid question maybe - but only a question.
I can see his thinking: We wipe down a supermarket trolley with disinfectant to kill the nasty germs - well why not kill the little fcukers inside us with the same stuff?
