Yep, that should be a sacking offence. On the other hand, the hospital could have simply barred him.
Either way, not good.

I'm not sure many would have the balls to stand up to the VP and his entourage, and even if they did its doubtful their boss would be very understanding. They'd have been fired in an instant

Well, that's a terrible indictment of the USA. One of many, it has to be said.
Grotty place.

well not all of it, you can't judge the entire place by the minority party who is awash with dumbfucks, but who have enough low cunning to cheat their way to winning elections.

Dunno. It's difficult to get past how a country can get itself into such a state that The Donald is even a possibility.

it took a long time to get there, at least 3 decades of the reps embracing stupidity and attacking science, reason and critical thinking, Trump did not come out of nowhere, despite what many want to believe.

Oh, I don't doubt that, but they are where they are. And it's shameful.

Barack Obama Goes Golfing at Country Club the Day After Michelle Urged African Americans to Stay Home The Robert Trent Jones Golf Club is a private, member-owned golf club and is at least a 45-minute drive from the Obamas’ home in the Kalorama neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Membership at the club is by invitation only, according to its website. When Obama joined the club in 2017, an anonymous source told CNN that annual membership fees and dues to the club are about $15,000—though every former U.S. president reportedly has an honorary membership and those fees are waived. pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/matt-margolis/2020/04/29/barack-obama-goes-golfing-during-coronavirus-quarantine-n386764

dems never seem to want to live under the same laws they want to impose on the little people, would think that dems would oppose a high end private owned gulf course, but if they give him a membership seems to be ok with it, forever a freeloader

I like that they used a photo from 2016.

Actually, $15k a year is nothing like the higher echelons of golf club costs. Interesting that the journalist mentions that - it feels like some very Daily Mail-like whining about other people having money...
I'm off to play golf on Sunday, by the way. It's an entirely reasonable activity with appropriate distancing guidelines in place. Trump probably couldn't play golf yet, because you're not meant to have anyone else carry your bag for you, and you're meant to behave responsibly. But the rest of us can.

If a club chooses to give free membership to all ex-presidents, that's not exactly freeloading.

Imagine the fountain of piss from the Guardian if golf clubs opened here.

I can understand why the club would want go give the ex-president a membership, I can't understand they ex-president taking it, kinda looks like he is used to being on the take, and cheep too, but it is Obama we are talking about, he has been on the take all his life

Oh the fcuking irony of jim clutching his pearls over a free golf membership for Obama when his orange daddy has grifted and scammed his way through his time in power, his resorts and hotels have bilked the us taxpayer of millions of $, yet Obama being given a golf membership is an example of " one rule for the dems..." its risible.

There is a certain ironic transposition of "Obama, he's been on the take all his life". He's probably the second least grifty President we've had since Eisenhower. Carter, of course, is clearly the least vile of all of America's ex-Presidents. Carter's such a decent bloke it's hard to understand how he became President in the first place.

Yeah this is right up there with jimbo's "once someone lies I don't listen to them anymore, now excuse me but President Trump is about to speak and I don't want to miss any pearls of wisdom he's about to drop."
