Oh, that's bar armour. It's designed to "trip up" an RPG round so its shaped charge is ineffective. Basically the RPG hits the metalwork and it tumbles. RPG rounds are all about directed, focused, kinetic energy. Bar armour smashes the shaped charge, slows the round and makes the energy oblique. With a bit of luck, it'll f**k the fuse up too. |

Those fuckers are a quantum of huge. There were quite a few of them parked up at Ashchurch and Bovington when I used to do field support for Foxies and Huskies. Probably too expensive to run. |
