Selective admissions at high school level are rotten and should end and reinforce structural wealth privilege and therefore - as a correlation - race privilege. But all those right-wingers who pretend to be upset about structural elitism in academia and pretend to care about the exclusion fo the poor white working class should be just as up in arms about selective admission they asked him zero questions. they looked at the color of his skin and said get the hell out of here. can't make this stuff up. They changed it to- The description’s since been changed; now it states the endeavor’s “designed to enable Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, or other people of color underrepresented in the sport of rock climbing to learn the sport and to feel included and supported.”seems pretty condescending and patronising that anyone who isn't white needs support to go rock climbing! what's wrong with non whites in these peoples eyes that they need infantalising, it's bollox. |
