You know, that's a odd thing: non-native English speakers often have no problems understanding regional accentsmin UK. I've probably said before about a French woman I knew who did her English immersion year in Glasgow. I also had a French French master at school (M. Francois Cadaret) who would conduct lessons in the mocking accent of his Brummy wife. Great guy. Died in a car accident with his wife and kids.
