as of now there is no clear understanding of the facts here, all we know is that there was a shooting, and at least as of now the victim is alive, the cop is suspended awaiting investigation, yet the lynch mob seems to be demanding the cop in question be lynched,

I’m not commenting much on this story until I know more - although I suspect that nobody is going to come out of this looking good - except to say that it’s absolutely mental that someone shot in the back 5 times at that range is still alive. So, I suppose the doctors come out of this looking pretty good. He maybe paralysed I have read which is fairly sh*t. But that’s just alleged and only from the waist down. Not necessarily a bad thing given that he's wanted for rape. |

So, the 5-0 get a 911 call saying there's a bloke involved in an altercation. The bloke's a known violent gun-owner and is wanted for rape. When confronted, he ignores instructions and attempts to enter a car, where he may keep a weapon. He resists arrest.
If you were a cop, what would you have done?
and he was reaching for something in the car. may have been trying to get a gun.
