Well, you say that, but there are almost always a few dead fish on the beach. I suspect that they are by-catch from the small fishing boats which are launched from the beach. Dogfish that have got into the crab pots, that sort of thing.

Had a hard one yesterday, a 37 yo woman with ovarian CA died at the hospice. We had to almost drag the husband off her as the funeral director was taking her away poor bloke.

Nothing too say really, not sure why i even put it tbh, sounds self indulgent at best.
Anyway its getting to be grim here, snow yesterday, rain today, wet and cold for the rest of the week. Not my favorite time of year that's for sure.

Yeah, I had a hard one the other day too. Had a Zoom meeting and the call dropped out briefly. Sometimes I wonder how I can carry on.

Yeah. I have a deadline coming up, and I've been pissing about on the internet rather than doing my work and now there's some stress about whether I'll get the work all finished in time. It's really tough.
Also, it was f**k**g cold this morning. 25F (which is something like -4C). Persuading myself to go for even a short bike ride took a lot of effort.

The work you do, and your mere presence, is a comfort to both the deceased and their loved ones. You are noticed all the time in their emotional peripheral vision, just there, doing stuff. Thanks x |
