I saw this on Facebook and thought it was excellent. Winding up racists is always a good thing.

Yeah. It would be a bit trite if Oxford United players did that against Blackpool on Saturday (on the outside possibility that they actually score a goal). But against Millwall it's now making an important point.

What's hilarious is the way the racist blm lot actually think they're doing anything other than puerile, performative, virtue signalling. They seem to think they're heroic revolutionaries rather than the self-regarding racist children that they are. They've discovered that almost everyone else is indifferent to or mocks their weird cult so they're having a tantrum.

They have, indeed, discovered that lots of white people are indifferent to the basic idea of not killing black people. They have discovered that lots of racists would rather mock people taking a stand than actually do anything to stop the killing of black people.

They also not interested in the accidental death of a serial offender 2000 miles away or the support of a violent Marxist group seeking too overthrow the Capitalistic system while defacing national monuments like the Cenotaph & Sir Winston Churchill etc "Kick it out" on the other hand is popular grass roots organisation that has done lots of good work within Football and enjoys widespread support from fans .

I'm not sure I understand what you're on about. Who is targeting black businesses? Which black businesses? And who isn't a slavery abolitionist these days, apart from half of Mauritania and a few people on the Arabian peninsula?

The Istanbul football story has got a bit weirder, because the Romanian refereeing team appears to have been called "gypsies" by the Istanbul bench before this kicked off.

This is pretty good www.thenation.com/article/society/millwall-fc/As more athletes have chosen to take a knee during the National Anthem in protest of racism and police violence, some worry the gesture may be losing its impact. When kneeling is approved by sports leagues and is practiced in an empty stadium, with no fear of a fan backlash, it can feel empty like an empty attempt at branding rather than the radical dissent it once was. ... In response to this bald-faced display, Millwall sheepishly backed down. The team announced that, for their Tuesday game against the Queen’s Park Rangers, they would instead hold up a banner calling for “equality.” Players would also stand arm-in-arm in a “show of solidarity for football’s fight against discrimination.” They would take the aims of the BLM struggle—already watered down by team-sanctioned kneeling—and further dilute its message. Like the NFL, they would be taking a clarion call to end police violence and turn it into something Hallmark could have created. etc.

It occurs to me that BLM is basically the same thing as those "I shot JR" shirts.

Nah. It started with the premise that the booing was racist. There's not one jot of evidence to support that.
