I shared a house with a bloke who used to go to Amsterdam every few months to pay for sex, claimed cos it was legal and regulated it was better than than trying to pick up a girl on the street corner. Weird thing is he had a gf. Never did understand his reasons.

My housemate said she had married men and guys with girlfriends as clients all the time. A lot of them would rave non stop about their partner to he. Apparently one of her clients had a missus who worked at my workplace. She offered to tell me her name but I declined. I saw no good coming from that. |

Yikes! I think cheap and / or street hookers are best avoided. If you must pay go to a gold star brothel or a private escort (or even a sugaring website) maybe higher priced but at least there is a much lower likelihood of funding abuse - self inflicted or otherwise. Ethical sex work is the way to go.

Many sex workers choose the profession. I remember being up one night at my old place talking to a friend of my housemate’s who was a full service sex worker. She used to be a hairdresser and she was telling me why she changed career. She said she worked in a salon with a wealthy clientele and she would always hear the women moaning about their husbands. She said one day a woman was whining to get about her husband having forgotten to leave the money for the gardener etc etc. She said she was standing thinking “I am sure if I was servicing your husband he wouldn’t sit there whining about you”. Then she paused and shrugged then said “so I changed careers”. I actually did not know what to say in response so said nothing - even now I am not sure how I should have responded to that! Haven’t seen her in years now but when I last saw her she was still loving her “career change”. |

Providing it's of your own volition and you have a clean, preferably wealthy clientele, why not. Better than working for peanuts in an amazon warehouse. But finding a clean, preferably wealthy clientele... where would you start? Nah, risky proposition. You'd need a minder for a start.
